Anyone know what are the criteria for tiebreakers in MLS regarding playoff positions? As a Rapids fan, I would like to know who will be seeded higher if the Rapids tie and Dallas wins, leaving the Rapids and the Burn tied on points.
1. Head-to-Head 2. Goal Differential 3. Total Goals It seems to me, since we are 1-2-1 with dallas, that scenario would put Dallas above us.
Ray Hudson better come up with a new line to inspire DC United to paste Dallas. Let's GO Veronica, I mean RAPIDS!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm glad you said that. I thought the game was Saturday. I would have been quite surprised if I went to the stadium Sat night.
the correct answer is posted, a tie with Dallas gives them homefield advantage, where the Rapids are 0-3 this year. Obviously much better at home, at 1-0-1 (which should've/could've been a win). We'd also lose in a tie with San Jose because of goal differential. Basically, if Dallas (without Suarez) ties or loses to DC (without El Diablo and some others), we play next Wednesday at home.
In all seriousness he shouldn't need to. They (DCU) need a win AND help from Columbus / NE to get in.
