Shawn Mitchell in Columbus has a look at the schedule for the conference finals. The Western conference game will be on the ESPN family, but the time and date and channel is variable.

That's pretty freaking remarkable to have three TV windows held for the match.

it is somewhat remarkable (or it is to be expected in some sense given the business ESPN is in and the multiple channels they have available for live content).

it shows us the availability ESPN(2) has on their schedules for live content at this time of year.

once the participants and game time are known, it won't be that tough for Disney to pop in some canned production to fill in those other (not all that desirable, yet acceptable/available/appropriate for an MLS Conf Final) slots on their schedules.

in the Eastern Conf, is it safe to assume that the EC Final will be on Saturday on FSC?

    Edit: Yes

I wonder why the Galaxy would prefer to play Friday night instead of Sunday afternoon?

Probably about a wash from an attendance standpoint.

maybe there's something else going on at the HDC on Sunday, 11/16.
maybe LA prefers night matches (and not dealing with the low sun and harsh glare of afternoon matches).
maybe they prefer more rest days before the Cup Final.
