Actually, I kept thinking how great it would have looked in a 15K house, with an overhang to keep the sound in the stadium. The end zones and the sparsely populated side looked rather sad. 15-20k stadia will serve well most MLS teams for a generation or more.
metrocorazon - no one is saying that the Metros are not THE single biggest cluster******** of an organization in the history of the world. and I agree. 11.5 in KC isn't too bad. When's the next time fans can meet Nick the prick at some fan event? Or failling that, his address at work? I think only a stake through his heart can help this franchise? I mean, this guy was available as a GM because his team got contracted. brownswan - you do realize that 13 teams will have their stadiums in some for or another by 2007. Metro will be the only holdout.
Well, it was a pretty ho-hum 2-0 win, but good for KC that they won it. LA was crap all night. Was this a "thank you" to the fans on the way out the door to another city, or a way to prove that they will never draw so that they can excuse moving to another city? We'll see.
Not to defend Nicko, but, no. Nick came here, Bill Manning (a guy who a number of people around here thought of as a replacement for Stillitano, when Manning ran Staten Island - or was it the Rough Riders? Or the Centaurs? I forget.) went to TB, and then they got contracted.
