just a couple of players to watch for... this is for US fans who dont follow the Turkish league

VOLKAN ARSLAN - huge, fast, good technical ability
TUNCY SANLI - up and coming forward
and of course EMRE, NIHAT, YILDIRAY.. unfortunately there is not a single player on the US team as skilled as any of those three..

there is one important factor people have not mentioned. The turkish players don't play seriously when there is nothing on the line. Since confederations cup is not that important of a torunament, we could see the US beat turkey. but probably not

    prediction: turkey 2-0 usa (nihat 33, 61)

Here are the MLS based players who didn't play in the 2002 World Cup but are worth watching.

    - New Zealand -

Ryan Nelsen (D - DC United)

    - USA -

Bobby Convey (M - DC United)

Tim Howard (G - MetroStars but on his way to Manchester United)

Kyle Martino (M - Columbus Crew)

Taylor Twellman (F New England Revolution)

This last guy will either have a breakout tournament or may never again be seen in a national team uniform. Great league player but he's struggled at the international level thus far.

    Joe Pool Lake
In colombia look for more talented plays by #10 Gio Hernandez (so far 2 goals, winning games for his coach)

In brazil look out for Gil....
