None will get a pay cut because they have all been waived.

It's not up to Nick, but if the Metros don't want them, they won't be signed to the Metros.

  6. In Balboa's case, it is not called a pay cut. It's called a pension.

Hey, Bill, you're no spring chicken either.

Thank god MLS players aren't horses.

Balboa seems like a sensible guy, so I figure he'll accept a pay cut to continue playing somewhere. I'd like to see him re-signed at a more reasonable salary level and return to the Metros. He's likely hungry to prove that he was worth what the Metros gave up for him. He'd also provide good depth and he'd likely be good in the lockerroom with the younger players.

I think Paule is the least likely to re-sign with the league since he was forced to take a pay cut last year as well. If I'm wrong on that, let me know, but I was under the impressions he had to accept one last year. I like Paule and wouldn't want to see him go, but such is life in league with a restrictive salary cap.

  9. Well Wizard, I haven't looked behind the curtain to find out who you are yet, but you've got me dead to rights. :)

Hey, no spring chicken or not, I'd have loved to Marcelo's salary for just sitting on my butt. His move here was all about MLS politics and not about him coming to help the Metro as a serious player.
