Does anybody have any input on which United players and which Burn players will miss the game because to many yellow cards. I am pretty sure that Etcheverry, Chino, and Priedux recieved yellow cards last night.

AND---if the Ref had seen the play at least two other Burn players (Deering and Hernandez) would have been out with red cards. For the most part Brian Hall did a good job last night but missed the Burns Hernandez swing his arm hitting Hepas in the face knocking him down and blooding his nose--no call at all. To make matters worse Hernandez then proceeds into the box where a soft foul is called and he gets a PK. The AR should have seen the play as well. Deering was a hack and should have had a second yellow as well as a Red card on a number of occasions. Burn players were yelling at Hall all night and a bunch of cards for dissent could have been issued.

Anyhow the Revs won and we weakened the Burn roster and their spirits for you. We thank you for sapping the Metroscum's roster and spirits. Good luck Thursday night. You will have a depleated roster but momentum on your side.

So my first thoughts on the United lineup for Dallas, I'd say:

    ----------------------------Rimando
    Reyes-----------------------Pope--------------------Namoff
    -----------------Williams------------Alegria
    Olsen------------------------------------------------Villegas
    ---------------------------Convey
    ----------------Curtis--------------Quintinilla

subs: Mapp for either Olsen or more probably Villegas
Lassiter or Zambrano for Quintinilla probably Roy

If that's true, the league can easily mandate a suspension for him in the coming week. I think they did that for Razov (or maybe it was someone who hit Razov), but the play was missed by the referee, and then the League came down with a 2 game suspension for the player.

Skip, that looks good to me but I still think Curtis is ultimately more effective coming in late with his speed against tired defenses.. Lassiter alone just won't cut it.. Zambrano hasn't torn it up but no United attackers have done that this season..

The size of that midfield (or lack thereof) scares me to death..

It ought to be a great match..

I also like how the league (intentional or not) staggered the end of the season so games would be played on 4 consecutive nights instead of all the games being on Saturday night..

Can you imagine the ulcers most United fans will have in watching the results of matches over the last 3 days (assuming of course that we beat the Burn)?

The Metros/Revs game could ultimately seal our fate on Saturday, but we need Colorado to win on Friday against KC, we need NE to beat the Mutts and for Chicago to lose to Columbus on Sunday..

Chris I agree with you both about how Curtis is most effective and the size of that midfield. We could put Alevanja into the midfield for size or ITT if he's healthy, but their size seems to be the only thing going for them at this point. In that sense, having Curtis instead of Zambrano start up front at least gives us some size and speed and since Dallas is down two defenders. Hopefully there will be some communication gaps.

I'm so glad that ESPN is covering this game for me as DISH wouldn't.
