We get complete silence during week, how about some practice updates? Most of them cant even tell you they have a game on that day or during week. They have a twitter and Instagram... why not use it for something good?

Because they are to busy using it to promote their self. When they do use social media. NWSL for national team players is just away to stay fit for them. They don't need the NWSL to be a national team player. It only hurts them because they are compared to the players below them. It would be better for them not to have it.

Huh???? I follow four teams on Twitter (CHI, DC, HOU, ORL) and I get multiple posts daily from each of them, especially on or before a game day. At least one of those each day is a RT from a player to boot. I don't know what you're talking about with "silence".

I just looked through my tweets for this week (I'm not a big subscriber) and I have 17 from the Thorns, some with photos, some with video links, some with article links; and one each from Parsons, Sinclair, Paulson, and Angerer. I've gotten them from other players pretty regularly, too.

Yeah the first two posts are bizarre. The players posts so much on game day that I'm at the point where I think they ar just preaching to the choir.
I follow all 10 teams and several players and believe me, they tweet A LOT.

Did you mean to write this comment in 2013? Because it is several years out of date given the amount of tweet I see from the 10 teams and few players I follow.
You might want to double check who you are following and make sure it is the right account because I"m afraid you might be following the wrong teams/players if you are not seeing promotion on social media.

If he or she is following Kelley O'Hara they wouldn't know Sky Blue played tonight.

Whitney Engen didn't mention Boston game tonight on twitter or Instagram. Then again if I played for them I wouldn't either. So that's three national team players Blaze that I looked up who are not promoting the NWSL. You called out hisownshadow.

O'hara usually posts something on instagram on game days, she didn't today though. Heath posts on instagram for game days as well. I think a good majority either tweet or post on insta for games.
