what? because these players have played for clubs in those countries that doesn't make that their nationality.

usa- pablo mastreoni and carlos bocanegra barely even speak spanish, they were never developed by any other country but the US. Freddy Adu moved to the US before anyone knew about him as a soccer player

'coz most of my reps were gotten recently. They purged reps that were older than 75-90 days.

Too bad about him...he's one of my favorite players now. Your D wouldn't have surrendered as many goals against Germany if he was in. Top 5 defender in Bundesliga.

But at least you still have Skoooookkko. :D

    Adu (Ghana)- US
    Kuranyi (brazil)- Germany
    Klose(Poland)-Germany
    Asamoah(Ghana)-Germany
    Zidane(Algeria)-France
    Deco(Brazil)-Portugal

Zidane's name always comes up in these discussions but he was born and raised in France.

Chris Armas was born in New York City, and lived his whole life in the US as far as I know, and attended college in the US. He played 5 matches for Puerto Rico, though, before playing for the US.

As it stands, Mastroeni is the only foreign-born player that gets regular time with the US national team. He came to the US when he was 4 years old and basically grew up and lived like any other American, going to school and college here. I wouldn't consider him foreign.

Carlos Bocanegra is American, born and raised. He doesn't even speak Spanish.

Claudio Reyna was born and raised in New Jersey. He spent some time in Argentina as a child since his dad is Argentinian, but he attended high school and college in the US.

Here is the US senior player pool: http://www.ussoccer.com/teams/teamhome_custom.sps?iType=265&icustompageid=475&mtype=8215

Of those players, the ones who can be considered to be "foreign":
    - Jeff Cunningham (naturalized citizen, born in Jamaica)
    - Diego Gutierrez (naturalized citizen, born in Colombia)
    - Earnie Stewart (born in Holland to an American father, raised in Holland)
    - Zak Whitbread (born in the US to English parents, raised in England and Singapore)

    - Paul

If You want to argue that Zidane doesn't belong in the French team because of Algerian ancenstry, then i guess United Stated should have bunch of Native Americans playing for them.
