It would be a mistake to move now if he wants to play the world cup. He's still a bit green, so he's probably barely going to play next season at that club. And before someone mentions Enzo and Julian, no, they were already 21 when they moved to Europe. It's a whole different stage of development.
Not only that... I just realized, it will now be almost impossible to do a World Cup bracket get from the get- go... You can only do one from the KO stage, which is not as fun... Round of 16 Matchups: Match 1: Winner Group A vs. Runner-up Group C Match 2: Winner Group B vs. Runner-up Group E Match 3: Winner Group C vs. Third Place Group A/D/E/F Match 4: Winner Group D vs. Third Place Group B/E/F Match 5: Winner Group E vs. Runner-up Group F Match 6: Winner Group F vs. Third Place Group A/B/C Match 7: Runner-up Group A vs. Runner-up Group D Match 8: Runner-up Group B vs. Runner-up Group.
🚨 Excl. - Agreement in principle between Franco #Mastantuono (born in 2007) and #PSG for a contract until 2030. #Paris are in advanced talks to sign the young talent from #RiverPlate for €45M. River would like to keep him until December on loan. #transfers— Nicolò Schira (@NicoSchira) May 31, 2025
Never once seen him play, but 3 goals in 5 games (only 119 minutes played) in the Libertadores is pretty damn impressive. I know he was linked to some European clubs, but Botafogo ultimately won the battle with a €9m offer. He might be trying to do the Botafogo trampoline to Europe, ala Almada. Still barely 18, so definitely one to keep an eye on for the future
Rumors are circulating that Madrid are trying to make one final push for Mastantuono. PSG are favorites but Madrid do not want to give up without a chance and apparently things are progressing quickly. Could be smoke but you never know. Whoever it is, I just hope they allow him to stay with River until Dec 25.
Echeverri is being linked to Como for a loan deal. This would be great, but Cesc is also being linked to Inter, and Paz might go elsewhere since Leverkusen are reportedly interested in Nico. Nevertheless, if Echeverri can go somewhere he can play week in and week out, it would not be the worst thing. In a perfect world, Fàbregas and Paz stay (alongside Perrone). Supposedly, though, Cesc has said he wants to stay at Como and continue to build. They’re apparently backed with quite a bit of money, so there’s that dynamic.
Yeah, saw that - apparently a deal in the works for a while, Parma just needed to secure their Serie A place for 25/26 for it to be official. Never seen Ordóñez play, but have had a go with Velez in Football Manger 24 and he is great as a "Segundo Volante" lol
🇦🇷 The AFA are keen for Carlos Díez (18 | CM/AM) to represent Argentina. His mother is Argentine, and it could be a repeat of the Nico Paz situation. @Rodra10_97 pic.twitter.com/JYtM36uAUO— Real Madrid Fabrica (@FabricaMadrid) June 5, 2025 Not for a certain but lets see...
Subiabre scores for the U20s v Australia. Game is 1-0 at MT. It was rumored Chelsea were interested in him but do not want to pay the 30ME clause for his services.
I wonder if now that Franco is out, Subiabre will get more time. I know that they different positions, but Gallardo seems like the kind of manager that will only play one or two young players. So maybe Subrie will get more mins. The kid has talent and lets not forget that although born in Chubut, his paternal parents are from Chile and he played for the Chile U17
Ay, @locoxriver, does this kid have any promise? I know he is 19 and he's arrived to River a couple years ago from Brasil but kinda of an interesting backstory. In other videos he's said he wants to represent the seleccion, which is good to see. Seems like his family are River fans, particularly his grandfather. I’m going to be honest with you: I don’t have the slightest clue. I’ve had him in my radar based off name alone, but haven’t really seen much of him on the pitch. I know Gallardo gave him his official debut in Primera a few months ago (a few scarce minutes in injury time) and heard he put in some good performances in reserva, but that’s about it. Mostly people know him for being our “Kaka”, but that’s more because of his looks than skills. He’s one of three pibes Gallardo took with him on his CWC roster, the other two being Lencina and Dadin (of course Mastantuono and Subiabre also went, but they had already been incorporated into the first team much before).. so that speaks well of him, I suppose. We’ll see how he pans out. Not expecting him to be a superstar perse, but definitely seems like he could be an interesting prospect to watch.
Alex Woiski who I believe has ties to the US/Poland and of course Spain and Argentina has joined River. He has repped us at the Sub 20 level. @locoxriver
Apparently he has over 500 goals in Mallorca’s youth teams lol He had sparked interest from Barca back in January and is watched closely by Placente, so that’s a good thing. But we shall see. Luka Romero was also a huge Mallorca prospect and ended up flopping hard. Unfortunately the last time we brought a pibe from Europe (the bad Carboni) it was a monumental failure that only lasted a month before he got the boot. And the other young player that came from Europe (although not a Europibe) was Gattoni, who was also a disaster. The good thing is that he arrives as a free agent, so worse comes to worst he’ll just end up leave the same way with no risk involved. But here’s hoping he does well and becomes an important part of our attack, because lord knows we need options up front.
Quién es Can Armando Güner, el alemán que fue citado a la Selección Argentina Sub-17 https://www.tycsports.com/seleccion...sub-17-l-alcudia-mundial-sub-17-id672492.html Kinda strange. I can understand players who were born in Spain to a single Argentine parent or had a father play for Argentina like Paz but Germany? Does the kid even speak the language? I don’t know, I’m personally not a major fan of stuff like this. I think what makes the seleccion, there is a symbiotic relationship where we are culturally similar to one another. Aright; let’s see how this manifests. There is also a kid from the Madrid youth academy who was called and is a goalie, Castelau.
