    Every now and then, I will revisit some of our older posts to see where some of these players are. We tend to say, "Well, he's still a young kid, let's see how he turns out in a few years..."

    7 years later, Franchu is currently playing his football in... Hungary...

    Another premature jump. There's still a real issue with many kids being given bad advice by their agents purely for financial reasons & not for the sake of developing their career.

    He’s signing a 4-year contract with the Germans

    Speaking of Velez, unfortunately Thiago Fernandez tore his ACL last night and will be out for the rest of the season. Hopefully he has a smooth recovery, because he was a very promising prospect.

    I think it's a shame. I blame the agent for causing the ructions between club & player. Refusing to play etc,etc. Not a great look for player or agent.

    Ugh what a mess. Classic CONMEBOL. Was there really a need to move it from Peru just because one federation official got arrested? And then to pick the most controversial next option so now we get this political grandstanding...
