Escobar played the full 90 for Vélez this matchweek. And played well. Follow this space.

Looks like Sebastian Beltran (21) is included in the 55 preliminary squad

The 3 GKs that will very most likely be included in the WC26 is Dibu (33), Rulli (34) and Musso (32).

By 2030, the GKs would have the age of Dibu (37), Rulli (38), Musso (36) and Beltran (25). Now, I don't know if Dibu will still be the #1 GK for the national team in the WC2030, but I do think that he will still be the GK for the Copa 28. After the WC26, I would like to have Beltran over Rulli so that we can integrate a new GK in WC30 if needed.

Roberto did his ACL again out for 9 months. What a shame

What is in the water with River forwards tearing their ACL? Panichelli a River product has torn his ACL twice and now Ruberto. Let's just hope they return healthy. We will need forwards soon, Lautaro will be 32.5 for the 2030 Mundial. I am not seeing any promising forwards. Things can obviously change but something to keep an eye on.

I still like the Lanus kid.

Its a football problem with too many games these days.

Thomás de Martis? Yeah, he's got an interesting profile. Still quite young but in a couple years we'll see. The last two promising forwards out of the Primera were Lautaro and Julian and they both became established players.

Players can pop-up like Panichelli or some EuroPibe can come through the ranks.

Back to back ACL's aren't easy, especially when he was just returning. I know ACL recover period has been shortened but Ruberto needs to get healthy and take his time. He has his entire career in front of him. No need to rush back.

Aside from too many games, I think there's a certain moves or way of playing which a certain player needs to avoid. Messi had hamstring & thigh muscles issues many times between 2006-2008 (6 injuries), then suddenly he rarely gets the same injury for a decade. Di Maria is another example. How's ADM suddenly becoming more robust than his pre 2017 self? I believe it has something to do with having different training routines, changing your way of playing..?

With Messi and ADM I believe it has something to do with their stop & go dribbling style (ADM loves to twist & turn). Most of the times running at full speed and suddenly stop and then starts running again will eventually breaks your muscles/bones.

Licha needs to figure out his problem aswell, othewise he wont be able to stay at his peak for long.

It absolutely does and your diet

Remember muscles are fibres, that contract, relegate through temperature, and depend on hydration including nutrients you take that make them what they are compound that with weight training and 90 minutes running it's easy to see how athletes get injuries if they don't properly follow a regime down to the most minute details in todays age

I don't know how legit this source is, but would be a good challenge for Zeballos to move to a great club like Napoli. The national team does need a profile like him.

Currently, Alisson Santos is playing on the left hand side but is on loan from Sporting. Don't follow Napoli too much, but we'll see what happens.

He's had several serious injuries over the years but was hyped prior to those injuries. Napoli is going to contend for a European spot so him going to Napoli is kinda iffy for me. A mid-table side would be good for his growth. Udinese was a place where many youngsters would go and flourish. De Paul found his footing there and so did Molina. Bologna or maybe Genoa. You don't want to go to Italy at 24 and play 15 minutes a game as a sub or just start Coppa Italia matches.

But 24 is a bit long in the tooth to be among "Players of the Future", ay, @soul24rage?;)

Pretty surprising move considering his age and injuries, if true. I thought his window to Europe might have shut, let alone for a club like Napoli. He showed some great flashes again this season though. Just needs a place where he gets a chance to do it consistently and not get hurt any more.

Considering he was out for a long time due to injuries, even at 24, I give him a pass as a player of the future :D

But yes, I 100% agree with you. Would have liked him to go to a mid-table club like Udinese.

Japan are currently hosting an international friendly tournament for the U-16s. I already noticed some very promising players. Gotta find out who he is, but the goalkeeper made some really good saves and helped the team weather the early storm. France had a good amount of chances in the early stages but Argentina were more clinical and beat them 3-0 in the end.

@locoxriver should be moved to Players of the Future thread.

@Riquelme100 the keeper is Mauro del Castillo currently with Real Castilla the junior Real Madrd team. Bruno Cabral two in this game and one against the Ivory Coast. This is the squad. Coach played a little in Europe as a central defender. Solid but unspectacular and for a short while with River. Both Lanus boys and several of the others have come through the u15s. Interest in Cabral from the European vultures increases by the month. Best thing for the pibe. Stick with River.
