I don't think Saviola would do well in England, its too physical and his game vs Celtic wasn't his best at all. Kluivert should go to Newcastle as Shearer's replacement. MY GOD, how long can u benefit from an Aging Striker?

Just my take on a few of the players who will be gone this off season:

These players are certain to be gone:

    Rustu
    Kluivert
    Overmars
    Geovanni
    Luis Enrique

There is a really good chance (75%) that these players will leave:

    Gabri
    Gerard
    Rochembeck

The jury is still out on these two (50% chance):

    Motta
    Saviola

If the right deal comes along the club may look to move these players off the books (25% chance):

    Riquelme
    Marquez

    Just a couple of comments.
I included Rochembeck and Geovanni, I think both are still on loan officially. We may (slim chance) hang on to Rochembeck, but I doubt it.

If the club moves Saviola (not entirely out of the picture) then I think Motta will be included in a deal with Juventus to acquire Trezuget. His card record this year has been terrible and the club is fed up with it. He is still valuable especially to italian clubs.

I think moving JRR would be a mistake. I would personally like to see Ronnie and JRR be our two foreign slots in two years time; however, if a big money offer arrives this offseason I would expect to see the club try to cash in while his value is high.

Marquez may be gone as la liga is reducing the number of playing foreigners from 3 to 2. Also the emergence of Oleguer appears to be keeping him off the pitch at the moment.

Anyways, I expect a lot of turnover this offseason, which may be good or bad considering the recent run of the club.

I thought Juan Riquelme was garbage and was vastly over hyped? Am I wrong?

in boca he was amazing. i still think he has a chance, its just that spain is a different game and imo wasnt really played to his advantages. he didnt have the environment i guess.

Riquelme came to a desparate Barça team with a lot of expectation on his shoulders and wasn't given a fair shot at adapting (Aimar was given a fair shot at Valencia and it worked out well). His major weakness was that he was slow physically and also slow when it came to making decisions with the ball. It didn't help that he was playing under a certain inept manager who didn't really value any form of flair or improvisation.

He's actually having a decent season at Villareal. Whether he chooses to come back to Barça is a different story.

As for the "certain on their way out" list, most of the aforementioned players' times are up. The only sentimental departure will be Luis Enrique, who is a real trooper. The rest either need a change of scenery or just aren't up to snuff for a team that will have a real chance at winning silverware next season.

As for Saviola, I don't think they can shed both he and Kluivert if they buy just one forward. Or maybe they have a lot of faith in Sergio Garcia.

Marquez should probably be sold to loosen up the non-EU reins for next season. He's a decent defender, but not worthy of a non-EU spot. Plus, he can't pass to save his life.

This summer should be interesting. It'll be more of a case of getting the final piece or two to the puzzle as opposed to the past couple of summers where the club had clearly no idea what in the hell they were doing when it came to buying/selling players.

What do you guys think of Quaresma’s future? Has he been a disappointment this year? and if so is he likely to leave?

Personally, I don't see why he doesn't get any playing time...Luis Garcia is not the greatest winger..

Quaresma is still young and havent played much this year. I just dont see him leave this summer. We paied quite a lot of money for him. He probably wont be in first 11 next year, but more as replacement. As far as we know so far, LE21 is leaving and Quaresma might be his replacement. So I thnik he will stay for one or two more years to see if he is good enough, after that...
Riquelme, I just dont know what to do with him. If he can play in first team we should keep him, but not on loan-bring him back to barca. His wage is somehow huge and it would be reasonable to sell him or trade for some other players if he has no future here. His defensive movements are very bad and with Ronnie and one more striker there would be three players who would do nothing in defence. I dont believe that FR has something like this in his head. But the question is, how much would Barca want for him, last summer nobody even want him on loan!!!

BTW, I dont believe that Gerard will leave. Is Geovanni still our player?! Didnt he sign for benfica for free last year

This new system Rijkaard put in After Davids arrived would help Quaresma, because we do not play w/ Traditional wingers.

"There are two or three players in the group who are intransferable," stated Barca vice-president Sandro Rosell.

    Puyol, Xavi, Ronaldinho...right?

There seems to be huge recent intrest/invasion from English clubs into spanish talent. I mean first reyes, now they want puyol, xavi and torres. What's up with that ? No good english players anymore i suppose.

well yes, they dont have enought good players, majority of players are Irish, Scots, Wales... anything but Englishmen; Best players in Premierleague are French... In their national team England does not have two strikers (Owen only-thats it)
Thats why they want offensive spanish players-talents

Well, There are other strikers, but for some reason Heskey gets called up instead of Vassell, Rooney, Smith, and Phillips.

They are all bad, Ronnney, give me a brake-he dont know how to play football, Heskey-no comment...

They can only hope that Shearer will want to play in EC in Portugal

Shearer is the only one who compliments Owen. Because of Owen's size, if they want to play Owen by himself, then they need dynamic creative supporting players like Barca does w/ Saviola, Lg AND Ronnie

No, Kluivert is way, way better than Heskey. What I'm saying is that We don't play w/ Traditional wingers. If we did, Saviola would need a Partner. But since we don't HAVE a partner for Saviola, then we don't play w/ Traditional Wingerz.

So, England would probably need to stop using traditional wingers or find a partner for Owen. Kluivert should go to Liverpool or Arsenal to be a good partner for Henry or Owen, But HESKEY is the Worst.

The rumors over here say that Márquez and Motta would go to Juventus in exchange for Trezeguet.
