Can anyone give me an explanation of the various stats listed on the player roster? I'm pretty new to the game and some of them are a bit cryptic if you don't know them: UNF GP GS MIN G A PTS SHT SOG FC FS OFF CK C E I don't know what "FC" or "FS" are. I figure "OFF" is offsides calls, "C" is probably cards, "E" is ejections. Can anyone help? Thanks!
GP = games played GS = games started MIN = minutes played G = goals A = assists PTS = points SHT = shots SOG = shots on goal OFF = offsides C = cautions (yellow cards) E = ejections (red cards) FC = fouls caused FS = fouls suffered
Oh yeah ... and welcome to the boards. Don't let people's negativity and attacks get to you. There are lots of people that post that are not like that
Yikes--so this isn't always the friendliest board on the net? That's ok. Thanks for the stats explanation!!!
it is friendly ... but some people will jump you when you say something because you're not an expert Don't sweat it though ... neither are they
It's pretty friendly around here, I think. Just an occassional jerk or disagreement, but that's part of contributing to an internet message board, people are going to disagree with you. For sure, there are some great posters on these boards, you get a lot of information on the Rapids that you can't find anywhere else. Stick around.
UNF = Uniform Number GP = Games Played MIN = Minutes played SHTS = Shots faced SV = Saves made GA = Goals Against GAA = Goals Against Average PG = Penalty Goals? PA = Penalty Attempts? W = Wins L = Losses T = Ties SO = Shutouts OT = Overtime Record
Don't sweat it. There are very few folks just out to be confrontational and we all have our bad mood moments every once in a while and don't always agree with everyone (me included ; Just ignore me on those days!) but the edit key is a wonderful thing! We're all just here for the love of the game. Welcome aboard.
