I'd like to see him on the NT more often, but it looks like Barbie Mexi is ahead of him in the pecking order.

I think Mexes is overrated. He gets redcarded as much as anyone in the world.

The name Squillaci sounds so Occitan. When I first saw him play I thought he looked a little bit like Frankenstein.

I think Squillaci has been Lyon's most consistent player all year, even more so than Cris and Coupet. He didn't suffer from any dips in form, injuries, had no suspensions, and only received one yellow card in all competitions.

And he's also scores goals every now and then.

Lyon's best purchase this season for sure.

Wow. He only had 1 yellow card all year? That's quite impressive, especially for a guy who won 77% of challenges (assuming that's what it means).

toto is solid gold dynamite. even better than cris and that's saying a mouthful.

méxès isn't his NT competitor, he's his partner. tutu and gallas aren't going to last forever, in fact in light of the quality of the young blood coming up, they don't need to last at all!

some of his tackles are as amazing as juni's FK's... just when greg's feeling the heat, he comes flying in like an exocet and get nothing but ball. if he wasn't a footballer he'd be a SWAT team sniper.

Squillaci injured his foot during the game against Shimizu. He will be out four to six weeks. At best, he'll miss the first game or two of the season, though it's also possible he might miss the first CL match. :(

I see it as an opportunity for Muller or whoever to step up.
