Is there a purpose or officialness to this list? Or is it just some list the US Soccer website threw together? It would be interesting to see if kids like Mapp and Gaven really are in position to possibly get a callup.
A tiny bit more on the matter... 1) I think that Jeff Agoos counts as an interesting exclusion, given his history and his excellent play in 2003. Among the older players who appeared in WC02, he and Llamosa are the only ones to leave the "pool." 2) Among the players who were left out of all three lists, the biggest snub may be Ramiro Corrales.
