Tough one to call But i'm going to give it to Zola. Carlo has had a great year, but he did very well at the end of last season and is continuing on in fine form. He's also young and in great shape.Prime of his career. Zola is by all accounts playing out of his skin. He's been a revelation so far this season and has single handedly won games for us this season...as opposed to Carlo who has done nothing to lose a game for us...plus he's gone deep into the twilight of his career. He seems to be on a bit of a downward curve at the mo, but has played probably to many minutes over the December period. However, over the course of the first 19 games he gets my vote.
Playa of da Year (so far) Tough one. The contenders... Carlo of course, still brilliant, but as he won the honour last year, lets find someone else. Zola, great start, starting to dip in form at the mo, which sucks, as neither Eidur or Jimmy are getting it together. Zola has enough awards. Gallas, has been marvellous at the heart of the defence (as has Big Des). The central defence is also known as "A Rock and A Hard place". Gallas has made into the French national side and just seems to be really enjoying his football, and you know he's going to get even better (which is an awesome thought). But my vote goes to Frank Lampard. He is the driving force in the team, always fit and available, runs his bleeding socks off. Needs to get more goals, needs to shoot more. But he has great composure, a great attitude and 100% effort. Yep, so far me vote goes to Lumpy.
