The attack is looking pretty good for Canada.

Not sure about the Defense though.

Doubt Flores makes it to their WC squad. Could be a good get towards 2030, though.

Would he have declared the switch now if he wasn't at least given a strong verbal guarantee to be a bench option?

Not necessarily. The guy was a ghost in Mexico and didn't seem like he had a choice to break in to the first team. Kinda reminds me of Santiago López from Pumas, an end off the bench guy in a mid team with no chance of breaking into the MNT, switched to Canada and doesn't even have a cap (and probably never will). The only difference is that Flores seems like he's turning around the corner. Plus, I don't think the Canucks are thin enough in Flores' position to rush him into a WC.

Andrei Coubis (22, DF), currently in Universitatea Cluj, has switched to Romania. Don't know if he'll play this month.

Yea, supposedly he's supposed to get called up for their upcoming March dates. We'll see if that's for or not in a couple days.

Same for Fulham's Issa Diop. But who knows, the U20S coach just took over for Walid, so we'll know soon

    From Jong Ajax.

    From Feyenoord.

Great get given Adam Masina has no team and Roman Saiss retired from the NT.

    And Aguerd is injured.

Diop could have played for Senegal too, they were after him a while ago, but no way he would make the Senegal team today, they are stacked with quality centrebacks.

    Morocco lacks in that position.

The only problem I see with Diop, is that he did an interview a while back on French TV, pretty much shucking and jiving for a chance to be on the French NT, saying he'd never join another NT...

Ofc he'd plead his case to his parents nations right before the biggest sporting event in the World.. a tale as old as time.

As long as he behaves like a pro in and out the field, and specially, he produces, I doubt the Moroccan federation will mind.
