Are folks planning on going to Columbus for the game on Oct. 4. If so is there a designated DC section? Would rather be with the faithful than amongst the average thighs on hands Crew supporter.

I hope those plans include fixing the Interstate merge lanes.

If the boys could ever stand to hear some friendly voice, Saturday's going to be it...

Sachin and some of our other brothers from La Norte are going to be joining us as well. Is anyone else making the trip?

Unfortunately, I will not be in Columbus for the game as I will instead be in Dayton covering OSU hockey. If you guys need some decent places to eat/stay, PM me, and I can give you the 411. Just be happy that OSU football is on a bye this week, so you don't have to deal with all of that mayhem as well.

Perhaps getting rid of the cows... er... OSU coeds would do the trick.

I'm all for having more DC fans come to games in Columbus. I've never seen a group larger than 5 visit before.

So what's the deal with Bombo? I've heard it may be staying back.

DC drums, Columbus drums, anything to drown out the incessant racket of horns, canned music, and PA guys.

I went to Columbus once for a DC game.

    Once.

It will take some pretty extraordinary circumstances to get me to go back.

Well then you weren't looking because the SEs have had several large bus trips to OSU and Crew stadium.

If you land by 6:30, it will be tight. I don't know how long a flight to Columbus takes.

A flight to Detroit takes just under an hour. I can't imagine Columbus being much longer.

It would be possible, just get a cab from Port Columbus straight to Crew Stadium... Traffic in Columbus is practically nothing, coming from NoVa it is the most amazing thing to get on the highway at rushhour and be moving practically the entire way to wherever I am going.

  19. Is anyone interested in doing a same day return carpool, we don't have a car, 2 peeps, but of coures would pay our share of gas, but need to return same day...may be able to find a car if neccessary.

    Anyone Please!!!

You can get a cab from airport to stadium but it would be a major pain to get one to retrieve you. We had a very bad experience with cabs the last time we were there. I'd recommend renting a car.

According to Yahoo maps the airport is 15 minutes away from the stadium.
