He was on IG live or something like that. He was answering questions. One of them compared him to Giroud. Not so random. Bitter? Probably. Sorry Karim, but you reap what you sow.
i meant random because i don't recall any issue between them. not that i followed the whole scandal thing closely at all but the name i remember from it was Valbuena
Dortmund and Leverkusen to stand firm on their valuation of Sancho and Havertz. https://www.skysports.com/football/...r-leverkusen-stand-firm-on-100m-asking-prices
Benzema is clearly an almighty douche. He's exiled from the team because of himself. That's all it's about, bitterness that he doesn't have Giroud's caps or WC winners' medal count.
In an alternate universe Benzema, Chamakh, Ben Arfa, and Gourcouff put the French team on their back to lift the 2010 World Cup.
https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...-he-really-has-grown-up-this-time-aston-villa Let's hope he does learn something from this. He's not a kid anymore at 24 and given the position he's in right now, he has a lot on the line. Whether it is being on the cusp to a move to a bigger club as soon as next season or being on the verge of becoming an England intl, he's seriously putting it all in jeopardy if he does not cut out the stupid antics. As bad as it was for him to be photographed passed out on the street once, he was easier to give him a pass of sorts then. But now that he's been a pro for a few years, captain of his team and becoming a prominent player, he has to know better. Lucky that he's English and let's face it white: can only imagine the uproar (especially in the press) if it were a foreign, non-Caucasian player involved in the same situation.

Premier League execs are increasingly fearful they have nowhere left to turn to salvage the current campaign - with games in China even on the table.A crunch video conference between the 20 sides will take place on Friday afternoon.More from @AdamCrafton_ & @David_Ornstein.— The Athletic | Football (@TheAthleticFC) April 2, 2020 Still too many unknowns to predict what will happen one way or the other, but we'll see come out of tomorrow's meeting.
They need to just cancel the remaining games and call it a day. Wrap it up and prepare for the next season, whenever that is.
Not sure if this was posted, but the Belgian league already announced they are cancelling the season and announced Club Brugge the champions.
He's a piece of shit. Clearly an egotistical ******** that rubs people the wrong way. And that's without going into the whole Valbuena thing.
It's a crying shame. I was such a big fan of his when he was coming through at Lyon and in his early days at Madrid. Never quite felt the same after the Valbuena incident though. I saw this picture floating around twitter today: This picture deserves Hall of Fame status. pic.twitter.com/GiJJ6eR7XM— Phil Costa (@_PhilCosta) April 1, 2020 Then this one: Benzema, Ben Arfa, Nasri. Suspend this season in perpetuity; award EL & CL spots on standings now so those competions can proceed next season. Begin new league seasons w/ all league tables as they stand now.
Yes, since this season is never completed, the standings are carried over to next. I think it's the fairest way to handle the whole situation. It acknowledges teams' performance this season without sealing their fate on the basis of an incomplete season.
What are the Prem's options in the face of the current crisis? https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/52148768 There is no need to make a decision now; would leave it all the way until June and see how things have progressed by then. If it looks like the current crisis has abated, then make plans to play out the season in the summer, early fall at the latest so at the very least the Prem season can come to an end. Conversely if it looks like the end is not on the horizon by then, that's when the decision should be taken to either cancel the season entirely or end it as it is currently as they're planning to do in Belgium. The latter though still presents significant issues such as who gets the European spots, who goes down, just to name those (there are more). Voiding the season is not the desired outcome but extreme situations call for extreme measures/decisions. This crisis is beyond anyone's control and things are simply not business as usual. Keeping the season going on and on with no knowledge of what's going to happen and when the crisis will end, is not a viable option either as far as I'm concerned. Same goes with playing matches behind closed doors with the current situation still ongoing (that is just irresponsible).
These negotiations between the league and PFA are ridiculous. The players are looking really bad and way out of touch. Millions of people have lost their ********ing jobs and they are being bitches about a temporary 30% cut in wages?
