No the kid but it was tongue in cheek more than anything. Hopefully we will get next superstar, good luck to the kid.

I am not following our youth but he has not been dominating has he? It's very hard to find the next superstar, maybe Greenwood is already it, maybe its Laird or Garner maybe none.
Our transfer strategy under Moyes LVG and Mourinhod sucked, buying over the hill guys rather than young hopefuls.

No' Salah puts the game to bed after an assist from Mo'. Shame because Liverpool could have gone down multiple times in this game.

Agree with all this. I think Mase has all the makings of a top level footballer. Garner seems a lock to be running someone's midfield at some point, but we we really cant say for sure until we see him against grown men on a weekly basis.

Laird is as can't miss as I've seen a defender in our academy but I'm a little worried that he's picked up multiple injuries at this stage of his career. Given what's going on with Tuanzebe, TFM and Jones, you've got to wonder what the hell we are doing with defenders that is causing this issue.

wouldn't say dominating is the right word necessarily but he's been doing very well. gotten glowing reviews all round generally and might be another reason Gomes leaving isn't a big deal.

may be a bit late for Laird or Garner but who knows. from what is being said out of management it sounds like they will get their chances

As @johno said Laird is probably the best defensive product out of our academy since Evans but injuries are a concern. He was the reason Brandon Williams plays Lb.
You just never know with kids.

Watching Soton giving City all that they can handle, pretty much confirms my thoughts that they could be one of our toughest challenges the rest of the way (including Leicester).
They've been in excellent form since the restart. They are safe from relegation, have nothing to lose (and are playing like it). Pretty confident that we can pick max points against everyone else but this is the one team that worries me.

He's just had his first half a season in the U23s and he's done very well. He just has the body of a 16 year old boy still, where Jude is a brick shithouse already and could well end up having another growth spurt that makes him lose some foot speed. I expect Mejbri to end up being a really good talent, and if he had Jude's frame he'd be the better player.

Mejbri actually scored only once this season (with the U18s). Has 3 assists also with them in 9gms. With the U23s, where he did play 5 times, he's registered 3 assists.
It will surely be fun seeing him on a regular basis with the U23 this coming season. Still just 17 too.

3 assists actually. I remembered it as being more games than that. I remember him coming on a number of times and playing well, and must have extrapolated that forward.

Ah well. Point still stands, he's still a boy physically but he always looks good when he comes on. He'll be a fixture in the U-23s next season, especially with Gomes moved on and Garner/Levitt loaned out, and I expect he'll be in line for first team games the season after next.

If Watford won today, the relegation race may be decided. 4 points and GD would be hard to overcome for Villa.

I wonder if Arsenal can make a run for the 5th position. It may end in CL.

They gave themselves an outside chance. But their remaining schedule is not easy: after today, they're looking at Spurs and Pool. They probably have to be close to perfect the rest of the way and hope for a collapse from 2 teams. Won't be easy: will probably be left ruing that loss at Brighton.

Jorginho still can't get a place in Chelsea's XI, despite Kante and Kovacic not playing. Think that confirms he's all but off once the season is over.

Not a problem for them so far, as they take the lead early on. Cahill out injured with a hamstring pull on the play has to come off.

Pulisic just in red hot form right now. Doubles Chelsea's advantage, 0-2. Not today apparently (in terms of Chelsea dropping points)...

And Zaha says not so fast: superb strike to make it 1-2. Much needed.
