Francisco Garcia, coach of Atletico Portada Alta's junior team has passed away following Coronavirus diagnosis.

    https://www.espn.com/soccer/spain-e...isco-garcia21dies-after-coronavirus-diagnosis

Very, very sad news (he was just 21yrs old). The diagnosis was compounded by the fact that they found out he had leukemia as well. But it shows once again that this disease is serious and does not discriminate. Thoughts and prayers for his loved ones in this horrible time and may he rest in peace.

35% of Valencia's squad (including Garay and Mangala) have contracted the disease. High probability that they caught it on the team's trip to Italy in the CL when they played Atalanta.

Euros postponed to next year, which probably means they are going to try and finish the season in the summer. I am sad about the delay of the tournament, but I really want to finish the season. I have to give them credit, if they really are trying to get everything in. That would be pretty great imo.

Is this true? How are the club's responsible for the postponement?

What if the quarantines dont stop until August or late July?

Are we going to sacrifice next season to finish this one?

The postponement of the Euros was inevitable (will now take place from 11th June 2021 until 11th July 2021). It will clear the decks at least in the schedule to give domestic leagues (and European cup competitions) the opportunity to finish.
But as stated, that is still very much a question mark at this juncture. Aside from the virus itself, there are so many other things to consider. Not least of which the necessity for competitions to end by the end of June, with the issue of players' contracts for one, surely to be an issue.

Probably not. But next season is already going to be funky. Because it probably won't start until September or October. Maybe we can finally do away with the league cup...

Right now of course, this is all pretty good case scenarios. There seems to be a consensus that they can get this under control by June, but I guess we will see.

I think it is less that they are responsible, and more that UEFA doesn't have to let them finish their seasons. They can just have the Euros.

Just better because now there will be an opportunity for the league to finish in some way, form, or fashion (without having to worry about the Euros/other intl tournaments). But it's still only that right now, a chance.
The FA reportedly has a meeting set up for this coming Thursday, so we'll see what comes off of that. Still way too early though imo to know for sure what will happen because there is so much uncertainty because of CV-19 at the moment.

Less chance of the season being thrown out. But honestly, my concern isn't Liverpool. It's us.

They either set the European tournaments off leagues as is, or they restart the comps exactly as they did in 2019. The automatic assumption is the first choice.
