I'm the one who should be thanking you.

I posted the final result of the Silver Ball published by Placar in the respective year. Sometimes, 3 (1972), 4 players per position (1975) are mentioned ... I think little. Soon, I take the previous edition of the magazine, still without the defined winners ... there are more suitors. When the classification is more complete (1973), I waived the search for more players.

    You're welcome.

Date is important, to know which round is the ranking provided and then work in the top-50 list.

    Hello Msioux

In fact the magazine did not publish the list of players ... only the Golden Ball

In edition 411, 3 games finished the Silver Ball: Londrina 2x2 CAM, Operário 1x0 SPFC and SPFC 0x0 CAM ... you can see that Peri (Operário) had 7.58 in the Silver Ball of edition 410 and then 7.65 in the end ... he went from 3rd to 2nd position on the Ponta Esquerda ... there was no correction in the Medio Volante function ... Cerezzo kept the average grade but the doubt is about the final grade of Chicão (SPFC).

    Placar 505 final

In the confused championship of 1979, Inter were champions with 23 games played. Vasco was runner-up with 14 games and Palmeiras, 4th place with 5. And the Silver Ball would not be immune to confusion ... adopting the criterion that the winner would have played 70% of the team's games (2/3 at least), Palmeiras, with only 5 games, had 4 winning players : Pedrinho, Pires, Jorge Mendonça and Jorginho.

Brasilerao 1972, was played between Sep 09 and Dec 26.
Ratings for players were from 3 to 10. I'd personally considered 67% of the games, this is 19 matches.

Just to remark Jairzinho and Rocha cases. They did notable feat this season, but it seems, they doesn't get the 22 matches required to make the list.

Looking for Carlos Alberto Torres ratings, honestly, it isn't too low or poor for someone that is regarded as one of the greatest right back ever and one of the very best brazilian defenders ever?

How good was CAT before 1970? I admit that I know little about CAT before 1970.

It seems that Carlos Alberto prime years were in the second half of the 1960s, before Placar started its rankings :(
