    Pulisic to start, please.

I say we give Ross Barkley a Liverpool shirt, figure he'd end up passing to us if he isn't wearing our shirt.

Well there was the super cup and we did quite well against the bin-dippers then. But this is the league and there are no easy games. Realistically we are expected to lose. A draw would be a fine result. I hope we can keep their scoring down even with our defence weakened - Emerson? Kante? Rudiger? I would play four at the back, because what is the point of Zouma anyways? Tomori and Christensen should be fine. I am somewhat disappointed with Arrizabalaga of late. He should be doing better. He is the most expensive goalkeeper in footballing history. We may still have some injuries to significant and key players. Mount? I would like to see Captain Amerika play and maybe score another goal against Liverpool except this time VAR says it is goal. I really have always had issues with the inconsistency of Pedro, you just never know which Pedro is going to show up.

First real test of the season (not counting 1st match). Just need to play like there's nothing to lose. Nobody expects us to win.

We put in an excellent performance against them in the super cup. Our team can play quite well on their day, the consistency just isn't there. Thus, I am not counting us out at all here.

Kante back will be ********ing HUUUUGE for us. Absolutely massive.

Really hope to see Pul get the start here. Pedro and Willy are so uninspiring.

    c'mon Chels

Lampard says Mount is in contention for our upcoming loss on Sunday. A lot of swelling, but not as bad as it looked.

We will probably struggle in attack. I would have preferred Pulisic but guess Willian had a good game last time around.

The one thing about Willian is he usually, and he will against scouse, puts in a full shift+, tracking back and off the ball movement and defensively which does not always get noticed and his experience, speed probably get him the nod to protect Az on the right where Pul who also has those attributes in the making but prefers left it seems and Mount going to get the nod there in today's system.

and right now Will is stronger on the ball, that is what Pul needs to work on as part of getting used to this League, think we will see a good bit of him in next stretch of matches

Man that was a well rehearsed free kick. And executed to perfection.

Holding Liverpool to so few chances is pretty good. Not creating much ourselves is not. What a chance for Tammy though!
Our occasional attempts to play it out from deep against Liverpool’s press are a really bad idea.

Strikers miss - it happens. I’m much more encouraged that he got the chance against van Dijk in the first place.
