Korean on trial with Roda JC
Wednesday 15th January| Roda JC has currently a South Korean player on trial; it is Kim Chuck who plays in the United States.

More than this in the article. Doesn't have direct links, so you have to look for it

Is he not an American citizen?

AFAIK, Chuck Kim is an American who signed with Pittsburgh right out of high school. Saw only limited action, but did score a goal. Roda's in the Eredivisie, right? Awesome training and experience for the kid. He should see a lot more time this year. I believe he's approaching 19 now.

I believe Roda had Ross Paule on trial before the 2002 MLS season.

Gotta love how, just because he has a Korean surname, they think he's called Kim Chuck...

    The Wanderer comes through again.

Great move for the kid, any news on how the kid is doing at Willem II? David Johnson.

I think I remember seeing him once or twice with the 'hounds, was just so much younger than the other guys but definitely had some skills. Now as I am in Germany and Roda is about 20 miles from me, and I was planning on going to some games there anyways, I know have a better reason to go. Will try to keep an eye out for him in the team when i get to a couple matches.

The Riverhounds play in the A-League, which is the level below MLS.

I was happy to see Chuck was doing well and was getting a shot in Europe. We played together on the Region IV ODP team together a couple of years ago before I moved go florida. Brilliant player at times. Played mainly as a winger, with a lot of pace and skill on him. Also one of the funniest kids I've ever met. Hope he does well.

This is just a training loan as far as I know to give the kid some more time in the off-season.
