That worked against Bolton. I expect we will see it again on Sunday.

Gosling and Rodwell both had good games against Spain U19's. Gosling is coming along nicely.

Timmy Howard got a cleet to the leg right above the knee. Let's hope he's fine. He played the rest of the game out and seemed fine but we'll see.

Last thing we need is Nash in goal.

Looked like it was a deliberate attempt to injure Timmy. Dreadful.

mexico, when it comes to playing the US, are dirty scummy mother********ing cheating asswhipes... kinda like RedShite are to us...

I'm not making any comment on what the US are when it comes to Mexico though... I'll leave that to a less biased person :D

I'm not less biased, and I agree with you. But I think I would use some less colorful language. I'll just say that their play does not live up to the standards of good sportsmanship that I was taught.

There are numerous examples in our recent history to point to as evidence, including Sanchez's attempted slide tackle on Beasley when he should have been picking the ball out of his own goal.

I read that as you talking about Mexico (whom unless they are playing US I don't really care either way - except for my standard "I hate cheats and dives" thing)... I was more asking what an unbiased observer would say about USA's sportsmanship... Are we as bad as Mexico or not... I'd like to think not. Yes I've seen some heated stuff, and some reckless fouls but I haven't seen blatant crap that much... I might be wrong.

I'm sad that Peanut is out. I'm happy that Dan is getting a turn. These are such conflicting emotions... :(

What Marquez did was dirty. But sadly, not surprising.

Howard did receive a yellow for delay of game later in the game, and will therefore be out for the US/El Sal match on March 28th. So one less trip across the Atlantic.

Let's face it though, the strength in depth the US has at that position, did they even need to risk Howard against Mexico? It's been proved time and again they're 2 goals better than them.

I am not Biased and the Problem with Mexico is they think they are better than they realy are. When things go wrong for them they get Dirty. As far as the US they can play a Physical game but not dirty. Though I was Dissapointed in Dempsy's Performance. It seems to me he took a note from Torres and Ranoldo's book, Fall over whenever someone gets close to you.

Tough call for Moyes this week. I would hate to have to pick the squad.

    We win this one 2-1

I agree with playing Howard against Mexico. Mexico is still our strongest opponent in that region. I think you put your best team out there and get qualification started right.

It will be interesting to see what US coach Bob Bradley does on the next round of Qualifiers. The US plays on Sat, 3/28 and again on Wed, 4/1. Howard is suspended for 3/28 only. Will Bradley call him in for the 4/1 game, or give him the time off? I hope he leaves him off the roster and Tim can get a little down time. Villa's Brad Guzan is the US number 2 right now, and he needs the games. I say bring Brad in and play him in both games.

That would be nice but I'm hoping he'll play him for the 4/1 game. It's being played about 2 hours from where I am so I'm hoping to go and would like to see Howard play.
