There are many pics of Hannover in my photobucket:
    http://photobucket.com/albums/v214/Hannoi/?start=0

There you also find pics of the not so beautiful parts (want to be honest) and pics of how Hannover used to look like before the WWII (before and after pics).

Of course Hannover is not a breathtakingly beautiful town but I really get angry if people say it's ugly because it's clearly not. People shouldn't judge the whole city if they only know the shopping area which is quite ugly indeed but still one of the most livliest in Germany.
Maybe it's not the greatest town to visit but it's a great town to live in imo. Lot of things to do, a wonderful football club, great quarters like List and Linden, a lot of green and water.
Lots of my friends from the university are not from Hannover and they were really surprised when the came here because Hanover's image isn't that great.
Most even want to stay here.

I think the bridge you posted is the "Oberbaumbrücke" between Kreuzberg and Friedrichshain. I've just been there on Saturday and we got off at Warschauer Strasse. Shame upon me, but it was my first visit ever in Berlin (been to the US 7 or 8 times, but couldnt make it to the Hauptstadt...) and I really, really liked it!

I feel the same way when I'm out of the country and see photos of Inverclyde (the district Greenock is in.) I love threads like these.

Siegessäule- I was naked in the Tiergarten quite near this monument (I think it commemorates a victory in the Franco-Prussian War, not 100% sure) about 4 yrs ago to the day.

I love the Frankfurt skyline! Skyscrapers, quite rare in Europe.

oh I thought changi airport in singapore was fantastic... last time i went anyway. I had to wait for 8h for a transfer to vancouver and there was so much shopping and eating available it wasn't funny.

I went to the Honky one more recently en route to Taiwan and it seemed very very modern... really streamline and speck-clean.

Frankfurt I've not been to though dad goes there every year to get to munich and other places and he said it is pretty good yeah.

There's a pic of it in my photobucket (page 2).
It's a building you either love or hate, it's certainly not boring.

I quite like it though and I think it fits good where it has been built.

This thing [IMG] is beeing build right now across the street to it.

It is quite nice. I believe Frankfurt is the financial capital of Germany.
