Hey, they could still catch lightning in a bottle!

I'm waiting for the next thread titled, "TFC wins Champions League or Makes Playoffs: Which will happen first?"

/downs another drink while looking at my picks

Or it proves how little merit we give to the idea that a stable team has a much greater chance of winning than an unstable team, no matter what they look like on paper. And how much more merit we should give that idea.

That is true. I also had TFC making the playoffs.

I under-estimated Frank Yallop. I know we have talent, but I didn't think Yallop would be able to put it all together into a good, fun to watch team.

Hey at least you're correct on the current position of the Houston Dynamo.

I expected improvement from Toronto and Portland this season, wrong!
I didn't see San Jose being a threat, wrong!

I did though predict Vancouver would get in the playoffs and Dallas would miss out, that is about the only thing I could call success. (so far)

I still think San Jose are punching above their weight and can't see them in the final but I may just be magnifying my original mistake with that one.
DCU look the more convincing team of those that have dramatically improved this season and I give them more chance.
SKC are unexciting but rock solid and difficult to beat on the whole.
LA Galaxy will make the playoffs and could well still end up in the final.

Pfff, Parity, what's it good for?
Not predictions is all I know..

I have the luxury of not making predictions before the season started, so I don't look like an idiot :D.

I think it's gonna be a great playoff race, especially in the east. As of now, these are my predictions for the playoffs:

    West:
    San Jose
    RSL
    Seattle
    LAG
    Chivas

    East:
    SKC
    DCU
    NYRB
    Houston
    Chicago

I had a really tough time deciding whether to pick Chicago or Philly, since Philly has been the best team in the MLS since the coaching change. I also have Vancouver out since they blew up their team midseason and they will pay for it. I kind of agree with Simon Borg about the Scottish players in the league. I think Chiumiento > Robson, and Le Toux > Miller. I also like Chivas and I'm a huge Robin Fraser fan so I think they can get it done
