If you had to make a All Star team from the Libertadores, who would you put? Please make your selection from the heart and not from a bias opinion.

    This would be mines.....

    Guillermo Ochoa
Adrian González - Diego Colotto- Morel Rodriguez - Junior César
Marcinho - Joffre Guerron - Juan Román Riquelme - Thiago Neves
    Salvador Cabañas - Bruno Marioni
Now THATS a hell of a team

    Subs:

    Rogério Ceni
    Julio César Cáceres
    Alex Silva
    Junior César
    Enrique Vera
    Patricio Urrutia
    Damián Manso
    Hugo
    Marcelo Martins Moreno
    Adriano
    Kleber Boas

Better than the one that media outlet had.

    Also,
    Thiago Silva >>>>>>>>>>>>>> Alex Silva.

Granted, I don't watch every single match in detail like those geniuses in the media, but based just on their play in this tournament, here is the team I would pick:

    .........................Ochoa
    A.Gonzalez....A.Silva...T.Silva....M.Rodriguez
    ......................Battaglia
    ..........Kleber....Riquelme....T.Neves
    ..............Cabanas....M.Moreno

Sorry, no Liga players. Frankly they snuck up on me and I didn't get to watch them as much as I watched the other teams. I know Manso is a talent, I remember him from his time at Newells. And Guerron is by all accounts having a great tournament. So, maybe they'll prove me wrong tonight.

Guerron certainly had a monster game. He could possibly take Kleber's place, although Kleber was a one man crew for Santos.

Yeah, Cabanas had a quiet game and the defenders deserve credit for a solid effort. Let's see if they can shut him down in Quito.

Who's defending in the middle of the pitch though? It ain't Riquelme and it ain't Guerron. I would move Guerron to the right wing and put Battaglia as the DM. Besides that it's a good team. Maybe M. Moreno insted of Marioni.

Edit just noticed ASF's team :D. That would be closer to my picks but with Guerron insted of Kleber.

He's been pretty quiet because teams have been marking him much tighter then every other player on America and it has worked, shut down Cabanas and you shut down 70% of the team.

    Joe Pool Lake
    Ochoa
    guerron -thiago Silva- morel- junior
    roman R - Thiago neves - ambrosi
    palacio - palermo- cabanas

Guerron or Junior will move up when the team defends with 3 or is holding the ball

I know but he has been able to do the same in every other game. Remember we already faced Neves and flu, Estudiantes, and San Lorenzo, now america and solid defense.

I give you credit for picking out Ambrossi! he has improved his game and is on a level i never seen since he was the Ecuador player of the year back 4 years ago!! he moves up and down without losing steam, creates scoring chances for himself and teammates. If he just worked on his finishing a bit more, he will be a scoring left back machine.

I would think he didnt need to convince you. He has been one of the best players all tournament. Very decisive, and secure. He has been able to manage the midfield of all teams played.
About the new list, I honestly think is a lot more close to what is happeing in reality. I mean, after all, Liga is in the finals and even before that, I mentioned there were players that were not taken in consideration just for not being in a brazilian or argentinian team. Players like Araujo and Vera.
I would still prefer Ochoa or the Flu goalkeeper
