Little Info just started playing soccer 6 years ago. Always loved watching but never picked up a ball. Since I started I have improved immensely and the reason is constantly practicing and playing good quality pickup soccer. What bothers me though is I play on a recreational team on the weekends yet my level of play compared to pickup soccer is horrible. Its 8 vs 8 small side but of course the field is much bigger than pickup. I can't do half the things that I do in pickup and constantly perform below my quality. Just wanted to know your opinions, input or suggestions.
Pick up is a great place to try new skills, tweak your passing,make mistakes and get some cardio in. However, once you wear a jersey, I will, depending on position, play a more conservative game.
