    Hello Friends,
This year, the Bella Vista Football Club Annual Indoor Benefit Tournament will be held on May 31st. We had a ton of fun last year, and raised money for a good cause. This year, all funds raised from the tournament will benefit the youth soccer team at Abigail Vare Elementary School in South Philadelphia. The kids that play at the school do not have access to a dedicated field, and therefore play only away games. The kids are completely self-motivated, and are keen to play better soccer together.Currently, there are no public or private funds to support their soccer team. They use public transportation to make the games on their schedule. The funds raised will be used to enhance their team spirit by providing playing kits/jerseys, gear, equipment, and to subsidize soccer related activites for the kids. So, ready for a fun indoor soccer tournament? Only $20 bucks for a great cause. May 31st at Palumbo on 10th and Bainbridge, from 9AM - 4PM.

Register or come to Palumbo Tomorrow @ 9AM with $20

Wanted to resurrect this thread for a bit, as I have some pick-up soccer listings for those in the Lower Bucks Area...

    Sunday:
9:30 AM - Quaker Penn Park
    - mostly adults, moderate skill level, no slidetackling

    Monday:
    6:30 PM - Macclesfield Park
    - mostly adults, above average skill level (usually one large, one small game depending on turnout), no slidetackling but very competitive

    Tuesday:
6:30 PM - Core Creek Park (entrance across from Maple Point Middle)
    - mix of adults and young adolescents, average skill level, definitely no slidetackling, mostly geared for fun and getting in shape

    Wednesday:
    6:30 PM - Macclesfield Park
    - mostly adults, above average skill level (usually one large, one small game depending on turnout), no slidetackling but very competitive

    Thursday:
Currently no games - PM me if you have any!

    Friday:
Occasional indoor at Bob Smith in Robbinsville, NJ, however, those are usually booked solid. PM me if you have any others!

    Saturday:
10:00 AM - Core Creek Park (entrance across from Maple Point Middle)
    - mix of adults and young adolescents, average skill level, definitely no slidetackling, mostly geared for fun and getting in shape

I think I would like to get a master list going of all these games. If you have any and have a section for them, PM me and I'll start to make a grand list or something.

I'm looking for games in two places. First, Lehigh Valley/Bethlehem/Allentown/Easton, or somewhere around Northeast Philly or Horsham (I'll be working at Fox Chase for a month and commuting).

I've been noticing a lot of pickup games at a playground on Levick St a few blocks west of Castor avenue.. Seems to be a lot of new Brazilians in the neighborhood.. You might be able to recruit new SOB members there and pick up a few "Ringers" for your CASA team..

I saw on http://www.soccerphilly.com/ that there's a Sons of Ben pickup game 7:30-9:30pm, Cione Playground at Lehigh and Aramingo. Is that up to date? Anybody going this Thursday, 10/16?

Well, there might have been one in KoP yesterday; awesome shot into the upper 90, but one-goal lead wasn't enough to win it. Not mentioning any goalie's names, of course.

i'd like to be in on this... i know i'm out of shape and will hurt the team i'm on, but anything like this will help me get back in shape, and it will be tons of fun

There is no way you could hurt a team worse than we do. :D

    You clearly forget the smoker...

the guy who is so addicted will play with a cigarette... and because he hasn't played in so long will wind himself, while smoking, and then take himself out of commission by the equivalent of the 15th minute of a 90 minute game.

I was that guy at one point..i've since quit, but am still out of shape.
