Pick Up game in Evanston or Chicago area.

I read in an article that there is a good pick up game that happens in the Evanston area on Wednesday nights at about 5:30 and Sunday mornings at about 10. They basically hold it in The Lakeside Field soccer field of Northwestern U.

Does anybody here play in those pick up games or know somebody that does? I'm thinking of joining, but it's quite a drive, I'd like to know beforehand if it's still going on.

If not, any good pick ups in Chicago?

I am kinda new at BigSoccer so it is nice to see a thread with my hometown in it! I live in Evanston, so I can go check out the games and tell you how they are. Also, where was this article?

Thanks for the reply kaberon10. Anyhow, the article was written in 2001 that's why I wasn't sure if they are still doing it. But from the sound of it, it looks like a tradition. Here is the URL for the article:
