I'm not a CPA so the tax laws are an area I know very little about but I think if the Union are just doing a service for the SOBs by collecting the money and then giving it all to them then it doesn't matter. I would look at it like donating at a store for the various charities, like Wawa and the various things you can donate to. You shouldn't be paying taxes on it as it goes directly to the charity. Though to be honest it could be different as the SOBs are not a charity just a NPO.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't believe GA has anything to do with SGs. It just means that there are no assigned seats.

You can buy tickets in the supporters' sections straight off the website.

I think you guys are talking about two different things: General Admission in the sense that anyone can buy a ticket for any section. And General Admission in the sense that there is is a distinct supporters section, but seating is on a first come first serve basis.

    Or maybe I'm wrong.

Yes. SKC calls it "General Admission". This should mean that you buy a seat and can sit wherever you want on arrival. They seem to use it in the sense that anyone can buy a seat; you don't have to be a member of a supporters group.

I was making the assumption that you would sit wherever but still needed to be a registered member of whatever Supporters Group they have.

I think some of this has to do with streamlining the renewal process. Say you renew with the SoBs and them call the union to renew, the union aren't going to know that you paid your dues to SoBs that fast. It honestly helps make the process simpler.

This sounds like high school--lots of drama over things that don't really matter.

The important independent things that supporters groups do are mostly away from the stadium. Lets get real here--its not as if the FO and SOB are locked in some eternal struggle.

Honestly, if the FO can use this to get rid of SOMB I would love it. But we're not talking about a ruthlessly effective organization here. I predict absolutely nothing of any consequence.

I hate SOMB too. I really think it costs us calls. No need for it.

Do you think we actually get calls? As a HS / D3 official, I'm pretty sure the SOMB has zero effect on 99% of officials. Still, I for the life of me, can not figure out why this chant is so popular.

I think we get as many as others get. the amount of griping by TRE and union fans in general regarding officiating is nauseating. SOMB is without a doubt the worst chant coming from TRE. but for EmeraldDawn to insinuate that SOMB actually has an affect on how games are officiated is, to quote Hackworth, laughable.

Whenever the ref hears SOMB, he goes into SOMRC mode. (Suck on my red cards) Unfortunately for us, it means the other team gets the red and we play shitty soccer as a result.

I hate it almost as much as having to see the video of Cory begging everyone to sing four leaf clover. Its not happening after playing it this many times its never going to happen. Please stop

How can you not love SOMB? Especially when it always gets sung when the ref was "wrong."

That's the part I hate about it. Not only is it terrible, but people chant it when the ref actually gets the call right!

This would only be a problem if a) everybody actually stood and sang for 90 minutes and b)they don't spend 90 minutes already berating their own players

this will only be a good thing for the SoBs to either get their act together, or some other group will move in and take over.

I don't even mind the song. I just mind trying to jam it down the throat of an audience that doesn't seem to want it. Heck to me like even the river end doesn't enjoy singing it. So.e things catch on (doop) and some things dont

I'm looking over a superfund site that I overlooked before!!!
    One lot chemically polluted
    The second insane
Third has three-tailed alligators that grow in the lane
There's no need explaining, the one remaining is the one that'll fit a pitch
I'm looking over a superfund site that I overlooked before!!!!

    Fixed.

And SOMB is all Mr. Kasey Keller's fault.

Somewhat related: There have been a couple of critical SoB threads popping up on Reddit over the past week as well.

Well there is some BS/Reddit crossover of course. But yes, I know it's hard to believe that there's some griping about the SoBs by SoB and non-SoB alike over there.

The chant originated during the monsoon match of 2011 as Kasey, Keller, SOMB! due to something he did while in goal in TRE that match.
