don't know if this is worthy of a thread of its own, and once i get enough coffee in me i'll figure out if it needs to move, but i was reading an article about alexi lalas waiting for the arrival of david beckman (intentional typo), what his impact will be on the league, the DP slot used throughout MLS, how the DP is being used by other teams, and general expansion. this last part had something that will continue to keep ourselves eager (or is it anxious) for an expansion team. Expansion continues apace. Toronto FC joined the league this season and there is a queue of cities - the likes of Atlanta, Seattle, Miami, St. Louis, Philadelphia and the Bay Area included - competing to win one of three more franchises set to be created in the next three years.
