Deepthroat have you seen them? Are they everything I have been dreaming of and more? Do i need to bring tissues to this event? (for crying people)
How would I know if they're private? Should we expect to see something on the team's website telling us the when/where? (It's a rhetorical question, mind you.)
If there were an event, I would imagine that the team would alert it's fans and the media. One could also assume that the Union and SoB might see it as an opportunity to have the annual Help Kick Hunger drive.
Hopefully they resolved the issue and I will be back to receiving official Union email correspondence. ::crosses fingers::

!!!!! yessss edit: what is the difference between "authentic" and "replica" jerseys going to be? Is it worth the extra 40 bucks for the "authentic" jersey? also, totally picking up the half-zip jacket. shit looks awesome edit 2: also, why are there two different color SS Home Jerseys?(Navy/Khaki and "Signal blue")
And on that note, along with the imminent release, perchance it's time to put this thread out to pasture (only to be replaced by a How Would YOU Redesign the Uniform thread ).
I don't know what size you are but "authentic" means that they are truly what the players wear and are well small because soccer players tend to not have a beer gut. "Replica" is the same thing, same quality just in sizes that fit those who tend to drink 10 beers during the course of soccer match.
Replicas tend to be more durable and usually are manufactured differently, because they're intended to be worn over and over where game day jerseys aren't. For example, sometimes "replicas" have sewn-on patches and embroidery and such where "authentic" jerseys are all screen-printed so that they won't chafe.
my experience has been the exact opposite. the authentics have sewn on numbers and patches while replicas have screened numbers (at least with hockey and basketball)
That's why I tend to buy the replicas with soccer. I like the look of the sewn on "extras." If I were running around on the field, though, I could see why you wouldn't want the patches sewn or embroidered.
This is maybe the best day of my life?? But quick question: Any update on a jersey sponsor? The email mentioned numerous announcements coming out soon, but none sounded like a jersey sponsor? I hope we secured one.
I would imagine that a sponsor is already secured and will be announced along with the presentation of the jersey (as was done with Seattle). The value of jersey sponsorship would be somewhat reduced if jerseys were releaved without a sponsor and one was added later -- it's more valuable to be a sponsor on the jersey from the very start and have every jersey (or cheap knockoff) that is made feature your product/name. There's still plenty of people running around with TFC jerseys that don't say BMO and I'm sure the back would prefer that not be the case.
