    From rednews.co.uk:

And people still seem fit to bash this lad all day? Not a hint of arrogance, works hard, and is very effective at what he does (just ask Vieira).

Phil Neville will tear you apart...

No, I think most people who bash do so because he makes tons of mistakes. And, most importantly, he plays for ManU. :)

    ************ off 655321,

Phil makes mistakes, but so does every one else. But unlike everyone else, Phil learns from them, is dedicated to the team even if he isn't a starter. He pulls his own weight never complaning about how little playing time he might get. Hell he could be a starter on any other team and make more money but he chooses to stay where he is needed and loved. And best of all, when he is called upon he does his work well.

Phil even if the rest of the world hates you, we will always love you.

Hehe. I think Phil getting Man of the Match better proves how wrong 655321 actually is though.

He's a very useful little player to have around and Utd have been glad of him more than once. But England captain?

I recall some years ago Alex saying that he would have been the best centre-back in the Premiership if only he'd had a little more height :D

He's certainly worth more to Utd than any transfer fee he'd bring. Just having him on the bench covers for a host of potential problems.

    Hes a good squad player.

Perhaps for the stick he gets he deserves to be England Captain for part of friendly.

Ya, being at ManU will get a lot of people to rip on you no matter what.

So do you think that SAF will sell Phil off anytime soon? He doesn't seem to be playing as often as he used to.
