Hey Crif....did you really have to make up a 2nd name to try to prove your point? Is this Mike himself? or his wife on her lunch break at the MLS offices?
That doesn't mean a thing. The MLS has broken down fan resistance to this sort of trade. Think about it. We've seen the likes of Williams, Serna and Diallo in Metro shirts. Petke in a DC shirt won't rattle teacups.
I would rather see Petke gone than Jolley. MLS as a league is improving and moving forward. Petke continously gets burned by the better quality of players in the league now. He can't be caught out of position as much as last season or it's one on one with the keeper. I respect him for his heart and dedication, but he has to grow with the league and improve or else he won't fit in.
Mike's a solid marking back who seems out of position as a central defender. I have to wonder where Ray will play him in the DC defense. He may enjoy a renaissance under Hudson; the move to NE did seem to revive Hernandez's zest for the game --especially against us.
Hernandez always had the talent, nobody ever denied that, but Nichol to his credit gave his players the discipline needed to play as a solid unit. I still don't think we should be deceived, New England is a one trick pony and the delusion that the Wevs supporters seem to have thinking that Serna will give them a championship is far-fetched.....notwithstanding, if Bradley had Hernandez this year, I think Danny boy would lose the dreads and the attitude and would be a good team player.....
Re: Re: petke not the kind of dc player haha, yeah, we got totally f_cked on this one... i wonder what our fearless leader has planned?
