    Agreed.

We need to pack the place. A nice Sunday afternoon match in the park. What could be better.

And in case you don't think that the players notice the crowd and their enthusiasm, here is a comment from Nate J following the 10 October match:

"It was great, it was amazing. I think that's the most people I've ever played in front of. You just feed off the crowd and use its energy, which makes it that much more exciting."

Put down the booze, were playing Dc not Columbus.

To Arsonists--You're going to miss the fire to catch muskie? Go to a store and buy some damn fish and get your butt to Soldier Field instead.

I know.....I wish I could do "Boat" but I allways go on this weekend and at kick off we fire some hand guns and start something on fire because we think some how it helps the FIRE win.

So here is to a 50 inch fish and a 2-1 win!

See you for the next game.

Was just in the Fire office about an hour ago and learned they're at about 12,000 sold for Sunday at this point.

    You think? :D

  16. I am bringing a group of 91 vs. 156 for the home opener. If this can be any indication, the attendance should be 91/156 * 30845 = 17993. I am actually hoping for many many more. I would like to see a crowd of over 20000 and close to 30000 for the conference final.

I am bringing 7 vs. 13. I hope my ratio isn't more accurate.

  18. The America-Chivas Mexican superclassico is also on at noon. Lots of biggies this Sunday like Liverpool-Man United, Bayern Munich-Borussia Dortmund, and the Argentine superclassico River Plate-Boca Junior. I'll be at the only game that really matters, at Soldier Field.

Bringing along three extras; when getting tickets from the office asked the other end of the phone and was told that they expected between 15k and 20k.

I heard yesterday "I'm sorry but.. you'll come to see Fire game sunday." Like anyone would have to be sorry for "forcing" me to come to the stadium... ;)

Watching it on TV, I was gonna come over here and give you guys props for the crowd, but since it was barely bigger than ours, I'll have to have to complement the 15,312 and the camera crews. It looked and sounded like a lot more than it was.

Don't compliment the camera crews as much as the stadium design.

Two tiers of seating and a lo-capacity lower bowl did all the work for both appearance and sound. Wish it was like that on the Section 8 end too.

If/when we ever build our own stadium, I hope it's two tiered on all sides like Soldier Field, or has the ability to be expanded as such. It's a good feel.
