Can anyone update the status? It seems like he was ready to really bust out and make claim for the Yank Abroad suprise of the year. He said he was gonna do everything to be back by the Monaco game, but that's already passed and he didn't play, so if anyone has any info at all, please I'd love to hear about it.

    Peter appreciates the interest mtkstriker...

as www.yanks-abroad.com reported not long ago, it was projected Pete would return between 6-8 weeks from the day of the surgery and at the moment this looks quite right. today (tuesday) is the end of week 5 of his rehad program - and at the moment he feels well and the training staff say he's on schedule - so we'll see him back in no longer than 3 weeks.

there is some chance of him at least being in the squad for the Champions League Matchday 5 encounter with Deportivo La Coruna in Athens. a win in that match could put current Group A leaders Olympiakos through to the knock-out stage of the competition (Olympiakos, 7 points; Liverpool 7; Monaco 6; Deportivo 2).

please continue to see www.yanks-abroad.com, a good source for updates and more extensive coverage of Pete, his progress and pending return, and, of course, bigsoccer.
