Make him go live with Sampson for a year.

    Naw, that's too much.

Such a horrible game for him.

He should be put on suicide watch.

I just hope he doesn't end up like Andres Escobar did over a decade ago.

I actually thought Pete played good in the game. It was a coaching mistake to put weak little Pete against that huge keeper. He should have shot 2nd or 3rd. And Donovan should have been 4th.

Yes. In fairness to Pete, he played very well in the field other than those two horrific moments. I can't recall a match where he played better, actually. Even his passing was much less negative than usual. I think Gordon did far more damage to the Galaxy's cause on balance than Vagenas.

Also, I think the stick Buddle is getting is undeserved. The defender made an GREAT play on that breakaway, and other than that Buddle did quite well. I agree that he normally looks lazy, but that was simply not the case against the Chalupas; he was very mobile and involved.

I am really sorry this had to happen to Pete tonight. He is not as a bad as a player as everyone makes him out to be. He didn't even have a terrible game. He was unlucky on the own goal, but it happens to the best of us. and again, the best players miss PKs, but to have them both in the same game is tough. I don't think he should have kicked first, but he can't be blamed for that. I think all the players really played their hearts out tonight and i hate to see anyone blamed for a tough tough loss. As a sidenote Pete graduated from my high school and comes back to help coach occasionly and knows some of the players-including my brother- from what I've heard he is a really class guy.

It's not just the breakaway, which if he any game sense he would have passed off to Cobi. It was moreso Buddle giving the ball up time after time after time. He was awful.

    He's a witch! Burn him!

Seriously, I'm numb right now. This is like Lakers/Suns Game 6 in 2006, only worse.

I don't think he should have kicked at all, but as he did, it was best he went first...the worst thing would have been for him to be in Donovan's position...blowing not the first chance but the last...THAT would have made even me feel sorry for the idiot.

i think he played a good game...but that goal...happens to the best of us...the missed PK...well the goalie guessed right. He controlled the game with his passes, made some defensive plays, took that one kick into the abdomen. Now pavon on that goal with the header at the beginning...that should have been a goal. Pete played well.

Let it be known, I've never been a PV fan, and matches like this are reasons why. Own-freakin'-goal!??!?!? WTF was that about? Then how about the wall move of his? Does he think he's in AYSO again? I won't even mention the penalty. IF we have to have a goat of the match, it's him. When's his contract up!?

Donovan should have gone first. Klein last.

Pachuca should give Pete 50% of the prize, $500,000.

Pete may be a nice guy and volunteer and all that good stuff but as a player he killed us tonight.

This is not the first time he has done this either, if we want to start winning again, we need to depart with Petes services.

Thanks for the memories Pete. You put us in a hole to begin with, then after Klein saves our butt and pretty much yours, that's when you come off the field clapping away. Then for who knows what reason, you get to go first in the PKs and of course you can't even begin to redeem yourself. Goodbye Pete. Goodbye Yallop.

I attended both games and the Suns-Lakers 2006 was waaaay worse only because the Lakers blew a 3-1 lead and lost game six after NBA schlub and now Clipper money stealer Tim Thomas sank that lucky three to send a sure win into OT. The Galaxy didn't blow any sure leads in this one.

Anyway, Pete Vaginas sucks! The people here who defend the guy have no eye for talent. He's USL talent at best and should not be earning a paycheck for Lalas' "jewel of the MLS."

Horrible play...but I point the finger at Lalas. Where are the players who can make a difference? Gordon vs. Findley vs. 2 or3 others? At least the team showed heart...
