I went out and bought a freezer full of meat when I read this:

    PETA ads link pigs,
    Nazi camp victims

    By CELESTE KATZ
    DAILY NEWS STAFF WRITER

A new animal-rights campaign compares the murder of Jews in Nazi death camps to the killing of chickens and pigs in slaughterhouses - enraging Jewish groups and Holocaust survivors.

The "Holocaust on Your Plate" campaign by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals juxtaposes images of Jews in concentration camps and barnyard animals in cages.

A picture of children behind barbed wire sits alongside a photo of caged piglets.

Another photo montage shows a jumbled heap of naked human corpses alongside a shot of animal carcasses. A third compares a skeletal, starving man to a skinny calf.

Above the images are messages such as "To Animals, All People are Nazis."

Even as a vegetarian I hate the people at PETA. Most the vegetarians I know do also. They just have no tact or real plan.

you have got to be kidding me.

speaking of wonderful things involving PETA.
i heard the PETA site just put up a "gallery of antifur protests" which is basically a bunch of naked chicks. apparantly they're trying to appeal to the "junior high masturbator" demographic.

Even as a person who likes animals a lot and thinks PETA has some legitimate points to make, I freakin' hate those people. They do more harm for animal rights than they do good.

I detest PETA because they target hunting, which is the most encironmentally friendly and least cruel method of harvesting meat.

It seems that people of all political persuasions hate PETA. How do they get this much press & financing then?

PETA sucks. It's a stupid organization.

It's kind of cool when the hot chicks go naked to protest the fur industry though.

I wasn't angry, until I saw they used the "Star Trek" font on the ad.

I was looking for the references to pet ownership being the equivalent of slavery on their page, but it didn't turn up on the search. You think I'm kidding?

I'm just amazed that the poll on CNN has 11% voting for "effective use of add." Amazing! Do these people even know how to tie their effing laces?

This entire PETA campaign was designed and funded by Jews.

In your face militancy is the best way to promote unpopular ideas. It worked with gay rights and civil rights.

Probably not a good idea to compare gays and blacks with animals.

I hardly think not eating meat and gay/civil rights are realistically comparable.

My wife is vegan, and she's always pushing me to eat less meat, but... I think it's rediculous. Meat is part of a healthy diet. Could the animals be treated and killed more "humanely"? Sure. But I sure as hell am not going to place an animal above myself.

She's on a big anti-fur kick right now. I think I'm going to tell her that if she continues with the militant anti-fur crap, she forfeits her right to bitch-and-moan when we see some car with a "pro-life" bumper sticker.
