why don't peruvian clubs give Alberto Castillo a chance to coach here?
So many championships in El Salvador, he must be doing something good.

Damn, Vargas is just on fire.

And to think that EVERYONE thought Cominges would be the one to shine.

He needs to go back to offensive mid. He did OK at forward for a while but it's just not his position.

This is what I hope will happen. Does anyone know where Cominges could go? I really hope that he plays his ass off this season, and ends up with none other than RIVER.

just found out a few minutes ago that there is another Peruvian-American in MLS....or so i'm reading....

    Name: Eric Vasquez

    Here is his MLS profile

From this thread in the Columbus Crew forum, it seems Vasquez got the'Goal of the Week' honor this past weekend...

And where did i read he had Peruvian ancestry?
    On this post from Rahbiefowlah:

    (relevant part pasted here):
"And Shizznit, Vasquez is one of my favorite players in the league. Peruvian-American from Miami. Smart, technically gifted, bomb of a shot, close control, great playing balls forward at pace, uses his body, energetic, looks like an Arena-type deep-lying middie with an intuition for the game's rhythm."

Nope...unless you want to read the various comments on the Columbus Crew forum regarding the kid's performance yesterday (which is mixed up with comments on other players-it's a post-game thread)....

    https://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?t=222037

And of course... from his profile :

    name: Eric Vasquez
    position: M
    height: 5-10 weight:170
    Birthdate: November 18, 1982
    Hometown: Miami, FL

    "MLS Experience
Selected in the second round (No. 20 overall) of the 2005 MLS Supplemental Draft
    Notes
Helped the Central Florida Kraze to the 2004 USL PDL championship and earned first-team All- League honors... Was a 2003 NSCAA secondteam All-America selection at Central Florida... Was a two-time, first-team All-Atlantic Sun Conference selection while at UCF (2002 and 2003). "

A question.... Having one of your parents be Peruvian means that according to the laws of Peru , he is Peruvian, no? So in the future,if any such kid was to stand out....they could possibly play for Peru's NT as well as the country he was born in, right? I mean.... they would have an option to play for either one of these, right?
