I saw two players in Riquelme and Messi that had not a single foot of space to operate in. As one of the previous posters mentioned, the play from midfield to the front was completely disjointed.

Didn't Riquelme swing that ball out to Gago??? While there was no stunning free kick or direct pass to goal, Riquelme still put his mark on the game...

Riquelme was finding his passes, creating chances, holding the ball on the zone. Even Radio Mitre say Riquelme did a lot. So Radio Mitre agrees with me on Riquelme.

 

Yeah, Riquelme passes are expected. No one has noticed they changed the offence to Riquelme giving pass to the assister? Every goal in the Olympics and recently in eliminatorias has been that way.

i hate to break it to you, but if you are being man marked the entire match, then create space for your teamates instead of running around alone.... What , do you feel bad for poor riquelme and messi because they "didnt have space to operate"?

Oh and also, remember before that last peru goal? Who passed the ball INTO THE CORNER instead of passing back to kill time? Riquelme. Who lost the ball that Peru started their goal attack from? Messi.

Well he had a good number of free kicks in these past 2 matches but other than the one he hit the crossbar the one today that Demichellis header went over the crossbar, the rest were rubbish and he had many.

Peru players attacked him by 3 cause they they know he is slow,even when he tried to put through balls they either were intercepted or way over his teammates head.

When Bianchi was asked to coach the national team he didn't want to(Then they signed Pekerman). Still don't think Bianchi would change much.

 

I wish Bielsa would've stayed but I guess he couldn't or didnt want to deal with the pressure of what happen in Korea 2002.My second choice was for Bianchi but who knows whats going through his head when he didn't want to take over.He didn't even want to continue in boca.

I don't know whos right for the job at this moment but Basile is not the man for this job nor I think Batista is either.

 

I think Basile could stay if the rethinks one than another thing, i thought that some things would change after the olympics but no, not much changed really.
