    PERU v Ecuador CONFIRMADO!!

Oh sweet, I expect a few arguments in the stands and maybe some fights. I once saw Peru vs USA in the Meadowlands like 11 to 12 years ago. I didnt go to well for the Incas they lost 3-0

    4.06.1989 - EAST RUTHERFORD (USA)
    UNITED STATES - PERU 3:0 (3:0,0:0)
    Classification:F Friendly > 1989

Yeah, that game was the final of something called the "Marlboro Soccer Cup." The semi-final was Peru vs. Columbia? (not sure) Saw both games.

I also saw them play against the Cosmos and they got their butts kicked 5-1.

    Should be an entertaining game.

I don't see why not. Solano's last game for Newcastle is next Saturday and Pizarro's last game for Bayern Munich is May 31.

This should be a good game.

Ecuador is coming off a big loss against Spain.

I think they are playing Colombia a few days earlier too.

...and you know the stadium is going to be packed! I heard 500,000 Ecuadorians live in the NY/NJ area.

    500,000 jajaj thats nothing
paterson is has the largest peruvian community outside of lima
so dont expect to many ecuadorians
especially with the peruvian consulat of NJ buying tickets for the peruvians like they did the 2 times alianza lima came to giants stadium
alianza lima got close to 35,000 and that was against a little team from el salvador
and el Comando Svr and NY Grone will be present at the game so expect it to be crazy

Was that little team from El Salvador call Alianza too. That would be cool. Alianza vs Alianza. Although there is alot of Ecuadorians scattered around NJ. Peruvians own a city call Paterson you will have no problem finding Inca Kola and peruvian restaurants there. I wouldnt be surprise If Peruvians outnumber Ecuadorians.

jejeje los peruanitos outnumber los ecuatorianitos not only in ny/nj but here in stockholm as well we are almost twice as many

too bad though that los chilenitos outnumber the entire rest of suramerica in stockholm by far.

2 of 3 latinos in stockholm are from chile

Somebody should sneak a camera in the stadium and take a picture of the crowds and later post them here. I have no doubt the stadium will be packed. I just hope they don't get into fights.

What is it the Peruvians call the Ecuadorians? I know the Ecuas call Peruvians "Gallinas" but I don't get it... Where did that come from?

chichi the reason for the whole monos-gallinas things is simple
as everyone knows peru and ecuador have a history a fighting and wars between each other and when the peruvian soldiers use to go to ecuador to fight the ecuadorians would climb the trees and hide and shoot from uptop the trees like little monkeys
the ecuadorians would call the pervians gallinas for running away but for me its just calling being smart lol would u stay and let them shoot u?
but recently the monos part has taken on another meaning in peru being that the ecuadorian team is 80% black or people of color
but i cant guaranty total order that night but all i know that it might end up being a better show in the stands than on the field sadly to say

Actually guys I spoke to a Chileno friend of mine and he says the Chileno's came up with the "Gallina" thing from a war they had against Peru and Bolivia. Ecuadorians just picked up on it.

Ecuadorians call the people from the coast Monos and those from the highlands Serranos. So from what it looks like the Peruvians picked up on that.

But I think Grone's version is pretty colorful.

Just because of that I hope Ecuador beats Peru 5-0...

chichi my grandfather fought in the war between peru-ecuador so i kind of have an idea for the names
but if u want ecuador to win fine
    pero jamas seran locales
y en la tribuna solo ganara un equipo PERU
y por el honor a la patria si hay que matar mataremos
si hay que tirar golpes lo tiraremos
todo por defender a la patria
