Si bien la vicuña es el camélido sudamericano más pequeño de todos, durante el Mundial engrandecerá su corazón para representarnos a todos los peruanos ante los ojos del mundo. Y es que fue presentada a la luz pública ‘Vicky’, la mascota oficial del Mundial Sub-17 de la FIFA Perú 2005, una carismática vicuña que baja de los Andes hacia la costa y el oriente para dar un mensaje de integración, en el marco del primer torneo mundial de fútbol organizado en el Perú.

BTW, I think the vicuña (not to be confused with camel) is great mascot. I like the way they did it with a chuyo and the NT shirt. And besides, what else could represent us better? El condor? el cuy? Un terrorista?

 

if we get a cuy as a mascot, lets just pay kaviedesfreak so they make a mascot who looks just like him, un condor?? para eso mejor pongan un pirañita, un terrorista??? abimael guzman still in prison, if he was out i would ask him to be our mascot , and if there's corruption or soemthing, we'll know by the Vladivideos!!

 

How bout a fuvckin llama. WTF is a vicuna, man these marketing people cant get more creative than this,lol. That indio from Copa America was better.

 

Vicuna, Alpaca, Llama, all almost the same $hit. Vicuna is one of the lesser known out of the three though... so this may be the reason... but then again who the fvck knows, and most importantly, who the fvck cares.

How bout the next mascot be a Morocha, these dumb marketers. Hey now a condor sounds better. What does a Peruvian Condor look like anyways??? And I dont wanna see a pic of Mendoza or el Condor from New Zealand

 

A condor is an ugly animal, especially its head.. I always picture that doofy condor character from Looney Tunes that was always duped by Bugs Bunny.
