I woudnt so sure about that, right now Peru is one of the worst team! besides i heard somewhere that this sub17 sqad is worst the thae sub20 so imagine how bad we gonna look in the WC
I said it before, and will say it again. If the team plays anywhere near the way they played against Argentina, then we will not be embarassed. And I still think we are better than CR.
we have already played against costa rica twice in friendly games and I believe both times we won. Although for the U-20 we practiced against Chile (a tie and a win), before the South American qualifiers, and Chile went to the WC and of course Peru didn't.
China's U-20 was good ... they finished top of their 1st round group only to lose to Germany in a tight game in the knock-out stages. Don't understimate China ... plus perhaps they'll get lots of support from the local chifas. .
Peru will have to play hard if they wanna advance through the group phase. The 3 teams in the group are good teams. If Peru goes through they will face someone in group B (Mexico, Uruguay, Australia or Turkey) I think it's safe to say that it ends there for Peru.
anybody read how they did in their rio de la plata tour (a couple of weeks back). I know they lost and tie back to back games with Uruguay, but they were also supposed to play against U-17 club teams (like river)
Interesting interview with Arturo Woodman. http://www.fifa.com/en/news/feature/0,1451,108558,00.html?articleid=108558 I love his very last quote: "But I genuinely think that when the next World Cup comes to South America after the 2014 edition, this country's youth should be aiming to bring it to Peru." Is it possible? Who knows, but I love his way of thinking.
He probably said that because if the WC is held in S.A. in 2014, whichever S.A. country it is that is hosting will qualify automatically, meaning Peru will most likely finnaly make it back to the WC.
Well I hope you're joking cause you do know that Peru will make it to the World Cup way before 2014 comes around right?
God I hate those tracks. Worst thing is they never seem to be used, they're just there for the hell of it
yeah. retarded. they never use it. Looks like the max austin is gonna have an olympic track too. don't know why. should be a soccer stadium only.
Most probably thats what gonna happen, because 2006 is over, and things really look bad for 2010, if the the FPF and the peruvian players finally decide to do things properly maybe but maybe we can hope to qualify in 2014 but that is a big maybe
