@LSR_RM Carlo Ancelotti has won 7 of 8 Champions League knockout rounds against Pep Guardiola (3), Jurgen Klopp (3) and Thomas Tuchel (1).
Was re reading what people said here after we lost to city last year, and all I gotta say is, what a comeback from Carlo. That's how a legend bounces back. Also, Carlo > The "Philosopher"
This stuff has to be for debate. Something i didn't say here but thought before the game was that this shouldn't define what we are, no matter the result, but show how far along we are. The result has shown progress, but also that we are still not quite there yet. We can beat them at least once.
Funny enough here you are again too, I knew you’d show up, but i didn’t call you, there’s an easier way, why waste even one tiny minute to read my posts, surely you can just………… ignore, I know you have better things to do with your time no? It seems he/she doesn’t like “me” respecting Carlo, it’s pretty odd continuous behavior, shows up every time I post about Carlo, seems he/she has nothing more important to do, oh well, “i” move on
Nah, Carlo is cool. I just find Digital being unhinged with every Carlo criticism entertaining. Specially now, that no one is really having a go at the manager, in fact most are praising him for a good job against Pep. It’s almost as if he’s looking for ways to be offended and acts as if he doesn’t argue for it, when he clearly does.
🗣️ Toni Kroos: “Ancelotti, in the locker room, said that if we win against Mallorca, the league will be done. After Mallorca, he said ‘I lied to you guys, if we win next week, we’re done!’. After El Clásico, he said: ‘First of all, congratulations. Secondly, everything will be… pic.twitter.com/nQbuaF689J— Madrid Xtra (@MadridXtra) April 24, 2024
Carlo is the BOSS! Such an experienced, calm coach who does not throw management or players under the bus. Remember, he asked for a defender in January and didn't get it, no problem. Remember we had no central defenders when we played Girona in a crucial game. Remember that we had only one pure defender in clasico. Always calm, a players' coach and truly represents our club's values. Pure class!
This is what leadership is all about. These guys aren't afraid of him (like with Pep or, to a certain extent, SAF), an important part is that they simply don't want to disappoint him. Amazing manager and, while I don't personally know him obviously, seems like a very good person too. Perfect Real Madrid manager!
We have been so fortunate to have had Carlo and Zidane lead the team for so many years now. Most clubs struggle finding one. Two people who are a perfect fit for this club. In the future maybe Xabi can prove himself to be named in the same group.
If you want a master tactician who can analyze and implement strategies, Pep Guardiolais your man. If a diplomatic man manager who can get best out of a squad down to the 21st man, Carlo Ancelotti is your man. Not to say these managers can't do the other facets well. These are just their biggest strengths to highlight.
I have a Barca fan in one of my classes and he of course saw a Tiktok with someone speculating that Pep would soon return to Barca. Sorry kid I hate to break it to you but you won't see him coach there until he the fix the finances and have the same pull they had ten years ago. I know Pep is a great coach and all of the "big names" go where the resources are but he's never done it from scratch or on a budget.
