Good for him. My 2nd Nation after England is Brazil with their history. Hope he lands them a WC if England do not win it
Carlo needs to get a fantastic sending off, no questions asked. The fact that this season went the way it went does not hurt his legacy at all, as far as I'm concerned. One of the absolute greats to ever do it, and a person and manager that fit Real Madrid like a glove. I love Carlo and appreciate everything he gave us fans during his two stints as the manager. We are going to miss him. An absolute icon that deserves an iconic exit!
This is why I say they have some of the pieces but the NT is not a complete squad ready to compete against squads that have competent players in all spots of the starting 11. Honestly I don't know CA would want to take this on, especially after what he just went thru with Real Madrid.
Development should not be the job of a national team coach. Rehhagel won the Euro with a very much "late stage" Greek squad. You need to use the most ready for results players.
Easy job, chance to take part on a World Cup and a huge amount of money without needing to live in an Arab country and their crazy rules. He won't need to live in the shithole that Brazil is right now (especially Rio) either. It is a great semi-retirement job. Yeah, people are expecting Casemiro to play a big role in the NT again now that Carlo is the coach. Crazy.
so it points the problem at the president of the club for not giving the best players to the coaches? or maybe it means, the coach is not that important, and what's more important is the right players with the right chemistry all peaking at the same time? Also, Carlo have failed to win a 2nd year liga title in all his years, and history repeated, so that means (by your logic) that the club should have sack him last year, because he always failed the 2nd year...
The team really isn't that good and looks like Ney clan has their hooks in some behind the scenes stuff. Might be good for Endrick and Estevao to skip this cycle. I don't think Carlo is staying past next year's WC.
Carlos might have a poor season, but he is definitely a hero in Madrid. I am so glad that Perez did not fire him before the announcement of the Seleçao's job. On paper, he got to leave Madrid on his own term. And this is respect for what he has done for us.
Just read CBF broke an agreement with Madrid and announced early because Ednaldo, CBF president has a court case today smh.
I have been saying Carlo Ancelotti wants to coach Brazil for at least two years now. Good to know it's finally official. The most successful manager in history, goes to manage the most successful national team in history. It was written in the stars. I know it won't be all rainbows and butteflies. This is a situation where he's jumping out of the frying pan into the fire. One defensive shitshow to the next. But if there's a man who can brilliantly manage big egos and expectations, it's Don Carletto. It's bittersweet to lose him. But I hope this recent season will only be a blip in the fantastic memories we made with him as the manager. The most successful Real Madrid manager in our lifetime. He always carried himself with dignity and class. We all know Florentino and JAS did him dirty this season. They probably would have replaced him last season if he didn't go onto win the double, exceeding all expectations. He oversaw the loss off three huge legends (helping us overcome losing Ronaldo, Benzema, and Kroos). He developed Vinicius into the best player in the world and also unlocked Jude Bellingham's true potential. Don Carletto will forever be in the hearts of every Madridista. One bad season does not erase his legacy. But like every good story, it has an ending.
https://www.cbf.com.br/selecao-bras...elotti-e-o-novo-tecnico-da-selecao-brasileira Real Madrid was happy to facilitate his release from the sound of things. I'm glad it worked out. He deserved all the respect. I am sure he will release his own statement in time, and his final game in charge at the Bernabeu will be very emotional.
The CBF confirmed the agreement is until 2026 world cup. They may or may not keep him depending on how Brazil performs.
What an absolutely magnificent amount of trophies Carlo helped Real Madrid win! We were lucky to have him. The funny thing is, when Zizou left Carlo was rung up at Everton to get his opinion on who Real Madrid should get. He didn't even hesitate to offer his services. This guy may not have spent his playing career as a Real Madrid player. But he is a madridista thru and thru.
As we suspected 🚨 Real Madrid were surprised by Carlo Ancelotti’s lack of focus at times while the team was playing for trophies.Since the Brazil saga restarted, Ancelotti & his staff have not been as concentrated as usual. The players were amazed at how little work was done vs Arsenal,… pic.twitter.com/kinEnFY37h— Madrid Xtra (@MadridXtra) May 12, 2025
Guess that takes that excuse away for next season then? No Carlo to hide behind and shift all blame to from the usual suspects.
