We've relied on individual brilliance forever. We've always been a very pragmatic team historically. The big difference for me is that we always had a great system for transitioning the ball from defense to the attack in good conditions... then we relied on the individual brilliance of the forwards. Now, we rely on individual brilliance... once we get the ball regardless of the zone of play. It's pretty astounding.
All top teams need individual brilliance. No coach just wins because of the coaching, and a good coach with talent that doesn't show up every time will have mixed results. Not very passionate about Carlos future but his results reflect the squad a bit. A lot of players that really don't produce a net positive across the field.
No matter how this season ends, this has to be Carlo Ancelotti’s last season at Real Madrid. He has taken this Madrid team as far as he could. We need a new manager. We need a better system. We need better structure. Every team just walks over us nowadays. Even the games we win.— WolfRMFC (@WolfRMFC) December 4, 2024
Indeed, the supposed best coach in the world with the supposed best team in the world, with the supposed best patterns of play in the world, and the supposed best hands on coaching in the world and the supposed best structure in the world and the supposed best system in the world, is ....... struggling, the reality is it's not just about that, i'll wait for an explanation why that's currently not working if the problem is solely "Carlo just sends the team out there without any plan"., lets see who's going to accuse Pep of that.....
4 lost in last 8 games. 5 in the last 11. It’s like every 2nd game to lose. We have next Girona (away) and Atalanta (away). If Carlo losing points there I truly think he have lost the team and change must happen.
Welcome to sport, opponents try hard to win as well, it would be fantastic if we could win always, but..... we won't no matter who is the coach, right now we are coming off a double and we are second in the league and can still progress in the CL, I''d love the team to be playing better and dominating all others but, it is what it is, at this particular point, our destiny is still in our hands so i back the team and Carlo
This is not a positive season and by default not a positive season for the coach. But the hire that comes in will have to do better.
In my opinion, Carlo was more out than in during the summer but once the Brazil offer didn’t land, he agreed to stay with us for one more year knowing Xabi will be offered the job next summer. He might have stayed as a favour considering the trust we put in him whilst he was with Everton, maybe. But this season he looks tired, a little bit annoyed and is not willing to make any hard decisions that can serve us well during the course of the entire season. This is how I’m seeing it. I don’t think sacking him is the right move to help our season from this point.
Carlo ever won league 2 season in a row? In any league I don’t believe Carlo can make this team play better. His luck seem to be over. Last time Madrid won back2back was 06-07 and 07-08 Almost 20 years… something is wrong Flo in the past used to fire coaches not winning like with Jupp and Del bosque.. who won CL
Yeah Perez got soft. Old Perez would have fired his ass after that 0-4 humiliation in Bernabeu. We haven’t won one serious game this season. Atm, even with a donkey on the bench we can’t do any worse. Just let the players decide who plays, they can choose who kicks the penalty’s too so why not.
Old Perez went 5 years without a title and left the club disgraced and humiliated. The secret to his comeback was that he was far less involved than he used to be.
Less involved? If you ask football professional (who don't work in real Madrid) what was needed to a team that just won a double, mbappe will be at the bottom of the list. That's all on Perez who didn't want his legacy ruin by a player who he failed to sign. And the involvement continues by forcing mbappe to play.
Let’s stop being silly Any team would have taken Mbappe. Let’s not act as if we were stupid for taking him
So the president is not involved, but apparently neither is the manager. Who is running the show here? Juni Calafat?
The club has the complete organizational structure online. Jose Angel Sanchez is the general director and directly in charge of the athletic departments. Calafat is the head scout. https://www.realmadrid.com/es-ES/el-club/transparencia/organigrama Florentino is an executive at this point. JAS is the man running the football club. It's just that football fans can't really understand that stuff and just point to the big guy in the highest office and believe he sits down and watches these players.
JAS as CEO… when this man ever spoke to the fans ? When he ever gave interviews? Why as CEO never speak after success or defeats ? Wake up Jose. You are the one who run the club …
He speaks to his bosses. The coach and the team speak to the fans. The executive and directors branch doesn't owe the fans shit. It's like speaking to children sometimes here.
I don’t accept! Every private or public company u see the CEO make interview or speak to the public. As CEO who is in charge u must speak and be involved in each day. Flo is the Chairman of a ACS GROUP…civil engineering public trade . Even though RM is not a private company.. yet Socios organization .. the CEO must be in charge and speak out loud! This man never speak . What he even doing ?!?
The poster has a point. The club still should at the end somehow respond to the fans. But if there is apparently a complete lack of accountability for Sanchez, and basically no transparency about the club's direction and logic of decision making and policies, then we should all just not complain about anything ever.
The club has a press representative, and it's own channel where these people talk all day. JAS responds to his boss, Carlo responds to his boss. There is COMPLETE transparency as the club uploads all press reports and annual reports online, people are just too lazy and reach for Marca/AS tier information because that's exactly the level of interaction football fans deserve. Lowest common denominator. If you are a club member you get to vote on the direction. I don't understand why the direction of the club has any meaning to any random around the world.
No ********ing idea what you are saying. Florentino is the president of the club and he not only speaks to the media regularly, but has annual member meetings as well where he speaks back to the owners of the club. That is the ultimate transparency, he's the person where the line stops at. What do you want the "CEO" to say that is different from what HIS BOSS is saying?
People just don't want to admit that they secretly want the club to be publically represented like Barca where Laporta and the front office are on tv and the radio every single day talking football and being present on an upfront personal level. This club has taken on the US franchise model since Florentino returned and is more commercial, coordinated and product placement oriented than being about the grassroots contact with people that hold interest in the club. Kroos' podcast was a breath of fresh air because it was the first completely unfiltered recollection we got from this team ever.
