We've relied on individual brilliance forever. We've always been a very pragmatic team historically. The big difference for me is that we always had a great system for transitioning the ball from defense to the attack in good conditions... then we relied on the individual brilliance of the forwards. Now, we rely on individual brilliance... once we get the ball regardless of the zone of play.

It's pretty astounding.

 

No matter how this season ends, this has to be Carlo Ancelotti’s last season at Real Madrid. He has taken this Madrid team as far as he could. We need a new manager. We need a better system. We need better structure. Every team just walks over us nowadays. Even the games we win.

Indeed, the supposed best coach in the world with the supposed best team in the world, with the supposed best patterns of play in the world, and the supposed best hands on coaching in the world and the supposed best structure in the world and the supposed best system in the world, is ....... struggling, the reality is it's not just about that, i'll wait for an explanation why that's currently not working if the problem is solely "Carlo just sends the team out there without any plan"., lets see who's going to accuse Pep of that.....

 

4 lost in last 8 games. 5 in the last 11. It’s like every 2nd game to lose. We have next Girona (away) and Atalanta (away). If Carlo losing points there I truly think he have lost the team and change must happen.

In my opinion, Carlo was more out than in during the summer but once the Brazil offer didn’t land, he agreed to stay with us for one more year knowing Xabi will be offered the job next summer.

He might have stayed as a favour considering the trust we put in him whilst he was with Everton, maybe.

But this season he looks tired, a little bit annoyed and is not willing to make any hard decisions that can serve us well during the course of the entire season. This is how I’m seeing it.

I don’t think sacking him is the right move to help our season from this point.

Old Perez would have fired his ass after that 0-4 humiliation in Bernabeu. We haven’t won one serious game this season. Atm, even with a donkey on the bench we can’t do any worse.

The poster has a point. The club still should at the end somehow respond to the fans. But if there is apparently a complete lack of accountability for Sanchez, and basically no transparency about the club's direction and logic of decision making and policies, then we should all just not complain about anything ever.
