When a coach says “that was the best training camp we ever had”, or “We have found the solution”, what happens is usually the opposite.

Carlo had 9 days to prepare for Milan, and that eyesore was all the team could muster.

Carlo said that they spoke about our problems at length and identified solutions but we have to show it on the pitch. It's one thing speaking about it and another actually implementing it in games.

Looks like he is actually asking his players to show him they actually mean it. Which also confirms that our problem is mental and not tactical.

Another atmosphere at real is one of revenge . They are looking at Milan with anger in eyes.

    The problem is everything

Doesn’t matter how much mental you have when you think it's a good idea to field an old Modric next to an injured Tchouameni who is already struggling for form.

Then you sub out Fede and leave Modric on... to do what?

    That last match was Carlo.

Yeah not buying the problem is just mental. One can't look at the team and say this is just mental or physical.

There is a giant tactical vacuum which not just the fan base almost all tactical analysts have identified. It does sound like a broken record but so does Ancelotti every press conference with suffering talks.

The terrible subs are all on Carlo.

But it'd be great if one of the things he talks to the team, esp Mbappe, is the lack of defending from attackers.

We'll see in a few hours.

Maybe you don't know about the stories of Carlo and his voodoo sorcerer.

Word on the street is that the 3 injuries were sacrificial so the team can return to winning ways..

    This is brilliant.

Apparently part of Carlo's plan was to threaten to deploy Mendy as a midfielder if the team didn't step up and perform, the players were so terrified of the idea that they stepped up big time and secured a cleansheet in a 4 goal route.

There was a massive improvement in our aggression and sharpness..we won +60% of our duels, an unprecedented % this season.

That with some small tactical tweaks from Carlo made a big difference.

If Camavinga goes down, they actually don't have a DM. Tchouameni is going to end up at CB, and Valverde could be playing RB. Mendy may be the only option. :p

Honest opinion: Do u see Carlo getting fired during this season?
Do u see him capable of winning any trophy ?

I can see him getting fired before 2025 and replaced by Solari if he doesn't get good results in these upcoming games.

I think he might win Intercontinental Cup next month. We are still in La Liga race and Top 24 is enough to qualify for play off round in CL. His job is safe as long as we qualify for play off round.

Solari got sacked because club feared we might not even finish 4th with the results he was getting. He's not getting the job again. Carlo, ZZ, Mou type of coaches doesn't get sacked during the season. Only Lope, Solari types do.

He was sacked because of our humiliation at home against Ajax.
Under Solari we got 37 points in 17 games that season and Zidane 17 in 11.

There was back to back losses to Barca in CDR and League before Ajax 4-1 as well. 3-0 and 1-0 both at Bernabeu iirc. 3rd, 4th and 5th were closer when Solari got sacked. Chasing pack got worse after that so we comfortably finished 3rd despite mixed results under ZZ.
