Vasquez should not play another game. Unfortunately, we need to move valverde to right back.

Carlo was never a great tactician. His subs are most of the time too late and with minimal impact as late in the game it is hard to turn around things.
To his defense, mbappe was shoved into this team by Perez, Carlo never had any say in signing players, and also when our players is injured, he (or any coach under Perez) don't get a replacement. Nothing will change in mid season.
The real problem is that Carlo and the players know it his last season, it will only get worse.

Who in their right mind puts Vasquez as RB to face off with Theo Hernandez and Leão?

I especially DO NOT like how he has dealt with most of the younger players including our most talented canteranos.
I get it, he's an old man and has no patience to deal with them or tell them what to do on the pitch but banishing them or kicking them out is completely uncalled for.

If we dont give shit about tactics anyway, put Ted Lasso there, he will galvanize the team:)

Jokes aside, Id keep Carlo until the end of the season. He deserves that for his years of service. Then in the summer appoint Klopp or Hoenes. If the team is really nosediving and you have to do something, put Raul until the end of the season. Best case scenario it turns into a new Zidane, worst case you let him go and get a proper tactician ahead of next season hopefully with several new players with his and his staffs approval.

btw I watched a bit of Brighton to see how this Hurzeler guy is playing. Great control, structure and intensity. On the completely other side of the age spectrum, from Serie A I love Gasperini. I could see either of these two work wonders with a 3-4-3 transitioning into other formations. Gasperini in particular also takes no shit and would not let primadonnas half ass it.

( I know both of these are a pipe dream though, as likely as Ted Lasso lol)

Anyway I would really like to see Florentino and co to pick a great coach and give him a lot of control over transfers. The risk is a ETH style fiasco if you dont get the coach right but if you do its worth it. I will miss Carlo if he goes. Honestly how can you not. But the writing was on the wall and everyone kept refusing to see it.

Honestly, 2 wins and suddenly all will be forgotten for the gentleman Don Carlo.

There is just no plan with this team. Last year, the team excelled on a very solid structure off the ball, with 10 players contributing off the ball, and even Vini doing his best to track back. Now, it's all out chaos. We're trying to press high, but two passes and you're past the front two, the midfield is now stretched because they're trying to cover for the front 2, and it's a domino effect. Offensively, the team is out of ideas because the opposition is setting the defense up because we're winning our ball in our own third rather then in their third and there is no urgency to our transition.

There needs to be a change to the coaching staff. They've run out of ideas. You had 10 days and this is the best that you came out with? Two disgraceful losses at home is a death sentence and the context is more incriminating.

Nah! Only a maniac would think he should continue coaching this team for the reason you mention. Or is 1-3 after 0-4 not enough for you? After Mbappe we were supposed to challenge for all available titles. It’s a joint disaster by individual players and the coach.

Would usually agree with this, but there has been little to no progress since the start of the season. In fact, there has been regression in key areas. The team seems burnt out and the schedule is about to get worse. There is no structure or any signs of life. You wait any longer and you're likely throwing this season away.

The performance yesterday was worth asking the team if they want to have their coach fired.

So when a team begins to struggle in any major team sport, coaches often find themselves in the firing line as a quick means to inject something different into the team. For football in this time of the year, it might be the only way because Perez could not just buy new players. I do not agree with this practice, but it is probably the only way. I am not supporting of him getting fired, but I could see him getting fired.

Don Carlos might be different because of his legacy over here and perhaps of his popularity among the players. Perez needs to do something. What else can he do?

I really feel for Carlo because he's trying to sort of paper over the issues with those statements and he's being a positive voice but man, he's not fooling anybody at this point.

Me too. Carlo had almost 3 months to figure out how to inject in the starting 11 our new left winger with Vini already there and he failed so far. I don't know how many different things he tried but none of them seems to be working.
We lack defending structure most of the time and we lack creativity. The only excuses are the injuries of Dani, Camavinga and Rodrygo.

sorry, It's time to shake up the system, it's no longer possible to live on the steam of a few years and victories thanks to the spirit of the club, time to change them with all my love and appreciation for Carlo, I don't understand why Perez would waste a season that he knows the chances of titles are decreasing day by day.

There's a good chance Carlo is the guy that's holding this thing together. That's what I'm getting out of all of this.

This. It's crazy that in November no one here could describe with any accuracy how Real Madrid plays. Players are lost....it seems like every game there is a new plan. This is a company with no vision, no clear strategy and no structure (on the pitch), that's expecting its employees to perform amazing.

Either Carlo makes drastic changes on the pitch and it shows a different look performance wise, or it's time to make the change.
    Can't throw away the season.

Carlo knows the pressure that comes with this job

I don’t feel bad for Carlo or like we owe him anything

I simply don’t suscribe to the idea of getting rid of good players or managers after one down season thinking someone else that has accomplished much less is better

we tried that, and like thanos said, it only brought us back to them (ZZ and Carlo)

but hey. Go for it. Grass is always greener
